As we enter the weekend, Amazon and other retailers are updating their deals and price matching in the US.

Ebay have a $10 off a $50+ purchase offer going on. use Promo code CFATHERS10 (expires June 15). Very useful to get yourself a $50 PSN digital Code, or a $50 Steam digital code.

Summer is going to be awesome for PC gamers it seems: Steam's summer deals have started this week, and can become extremely addicting. Deals include deep discounts on the Hitman franchise, Child of Light, The Witcher Franchise, Wolfenstein, and more. gog.com's own summer sale is still going on, as is the PC summer sale on Amazon. The humble Bundle All stars is also still available for a couple days.

Assassin's Creed unity is $22.01 (45% off) on PS4. Diablo 3 Ultimate Evil edition is $29.99 (50% off).

This is also a strong week for Preorders: Ratchet & Clank as well as Uncharted 4 made it to the preorder lists for PS4.

Thank you for putting US in the title. For this sale.

Would be nice if other articles would do the samething.

I've never played a Hitman before and I hear Absolution's the best entry into the series for newcomers. Might give it a shot.

That would be Contracts and Blood Money IMO, Absolution has its moments but it does not have the same creative freedom as the previous installments.

Personal opinion, but I think Absolution was the worst one so far and not a great intro to the series. Like N0TaB0T said, Blood Money, Contracts, or even going back to Hitman 2: Silent Assassin would probably provide a better experience.

Absolution took a lot of strange approaches to their designs. I believe that one of the worst ones was replacing the save system with checkpoints. In older Hitman titles, you could save anywhere during a mission, but depending on the difficulty you were playing at, you would be limited to a set number of times you could save in the mission. Absolution replaced that with checkpoints, but you have to find the checkpoints, and they were oftentimes in awkward spots, and didn't seem to save everything that had occurred.

There were other issues with the game as well, and the story wasn't quite as strong as prior titles, but the save system was the most frustrating issue for myself. Luckily, IO Interactive released a statement about the next Hitman (last year I believe), and they seemed very clearly intent on going back to the old formula for all future titles, as well as apologetic for Absolution's designs.
