MST writes: Nintendo recently announced that Fatal Frame V: Oracle of the Sodden Raven, a game that was until now a Japan-only release, would finally make it’s way to a America and Europe later this year for the Wii U, so I thought it would be a good time to look back on this criminally ignored series.
Today, KOEI TECMO America is pleased to announce that its remastered classic, FATAL FRAME: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse, is now available digitally for Nintendo Switch™, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows PC at via Steam.
Full of frights, spooks, and claustrophobic journeys, the Original Xbox has what will quench the thirst of every horror fan.
Such a shame that they never ported Fatal Frame II: Director's Cut to anything else. The added ending is by far my favourite.
Fatal Frame 1&2. Its a horrible shame those two original xbox games never got backwards compatible for series consoles. Horrible

Its from PlayStation the Magazine.
I so totally want to play Fatal Frame.
I'm glad they're bringing this west.
Wait, there was a Fatal Frame IV? What system was it for?
1-3 are amazing horror games. 4 is ok, i hear 5 is okay too.
I really wish they'd go all out with a new one, go back to the camera angles so that the budget doesn't show with the camera all zoomed in. If they followed the template of 1-3 minus some of the repetitive, tedious stuff, they'd be golden.
Also, i feel like the creators are way too reliang on the whole failed ritual/sacrifice thing. Theres a lot more in Japanese horror to take from. Just watched Kairo, amazingly original and scary J-horror
