FFVII for PS3 is "rumour and speculation"

Eurogamer: "Square Enix has refused to comment on "rumour and speculation" that Final Fantasy VII is heading to PS3 in a revised format."

"The site [PlaystationLifestyle] also says to expect a separate port of the original FFVII to appear on PSN in 2008, which echoes other unsubstantiated claims from earlier in the year."

Something i would seriously love besides an FF7 PS3 remake, would be the release of the original FF7 on the PSN store with Trophy inclusion. I would be absolutely hooked like nothing else man, i'd be playing that to get every trophy and i wouldn't even play anything else on my ps3.

I've played and replayed FFVII a crap-ton of times. I never tire of it. I just want them to remake it already, they've been teasing us long enough with the prospect of it. I mean what did they expect after making that PS3 tech demo?

A fear I have is that they will remake it, but will not stay true to the original greatness of the PS1 title. I don't want a graphical crap fest. I want final fantasy vii -- again.

They made a tech demo on the PS3 and are announcing the release the FVII movie on Blu-ray disc for the time. They have said they will have something to announce that will "surprise the fans of the series". That is all we have to go by.

Actually, Playstation Lifestyle rumors have until now always proven to be true later, so I tend to believe them when they announce such thing.

This is not the standard website, they knew and announced many PS3 news long before others.

Fans want a remake. I want a remake. Everyone wants a remake. They would make lots of money from a remake. Yet why do think Square is going to make a game continuing the story instead of doing what everyone wants, and remaking the game??

they said they go by what is selling on ebay etc...

ffvii is one of those titles that sells like crazy for large amounts of money.. SE isnt stupid.. just in over their heads

with little games for DS, many remakes for Wii,DS,PSP..releasing as many titles as possible on any platform with lowest production costs(remakes for handhelds!) etc

Being a huge fan of FFVII, even I am sick of this crap. it seems like I have been hearing about remakes for this game since a month after it's original release and seriously they can stop talking about it now. Every year since PS2's release and every month since PS3's release.... sheesh, by the time PS4 launches everyday will yield a new FF7 remake in the works!

Drop it, give it a rest, let it die as one of the best RPG's in the history of mankind and let it alone for god sakes!

Even IF they ever DO remake the game it will be a better surprise if I don't have to hear about it every minute of every day!
