PS4 box art revealed for Darksiders 2: Deathinitive Edition

The PlayStation 4 box art has been revealed for the renamed Darksiders 2: Deathinitive Edition.

Ah another remaster but this is a game I missed out on. Box art is neat, however I'm disappointed that the first Darksiders isn't included. There's really no reason for that since there's a release that includes both for last gen consoles and pc.

Ok, serious question to all who downvoted my comment.

What do you as gamers gain from this being only on ps4? It's on ps3, 360, Wii U and PC already.

How are you losing out if its on another platform as well as ps4? Its already a multiplat game it makes no difference to your gaming experience at all.

Seems to me the only ones missing out here apart from xbox gamers are the devs on lost revenue they would get from xb1 sales.

Makes no sense to me. they both x86 architecture it wouldn't be hard to have a port on both consoles.

Or is it just strait up hate for xbox?

I for one would really like this on xbox one and considering it was on 360 also i feel it is a poor decision to only be on ps4.

You know the sad answer. Btw, if anyone here knows a site with a less biased pool of users to check gaming news, please point it out. I know about one with a much more mature and intelligent community (obviously wont post its name here and risk to contaminate it there with the blind idiocy we see here everyday), but it is not so good for the pure info. I'm primarily a PS4 player, but what happens here is ridiculous.

On topic, Borderlands did the same and they said that the first had a very different engine so it would cost them too much. Funny because they still charged it highly.

There is a lot of MS and xbox hate sure but a lot of it is justified. MS is single handedly holding back things with its weak machine, they also create fake exclusivity by using piles of cash rather than creating exclusives by assembling talented teams of their own.

Personally I don't want them to suck, I'd much rather Sony have equal competition as this is better for everyone, but this is just the way of things.

Lol I guess the same thing could be said about ps4, since pcs are far more powerful. A lot more powerful than the difference between ps4 and xbox. Look at witcher, a huge open world beautiful game and the only difference between ps4 and xbox is a slight resolution bump while pc is in a whole other league.

Did xbox hold ps4 exclusives back also? With bloodborne having frame drops, driveclub not being able to hit 60 fps, and the order being extremely lacking? Yeah must've been xboxs fault somehow. I'm not trolling ps games as I've enjoyed a lot of them, but your comment is ridiculous. Ps4 is slightly stronger no doubt, keyword is slightly, but to say xbox is somehow holding it back is crazy

Also I guess sony didn't throw money at Capcom for sfv right? Capcom would've never been able to develop by far their biggest franchise if it wasn't for sony. s/

They must not have thrown money at star wars and batman either for exclusive marketing.

What? Your view is warped man. MS are focusing big time on console exclusives and are touting the best e3 year in history for xbox. From the games already announced i find it easy to believe this to be the case.

You mention spending money on third party games but Sony are the ones snapping up exclusivity rights. Batman Arkham Knight, Star Wars Battlefront, Destiny, Street Fighter 5...

Also the console is NOT weak. The witcher 3 is evidence of this. DX12 is coming and even without it's more than capable of beautiful games of epic proportions.

Not sure. Sony doesn't have any partnership with them so it is up to Nordic Games. Maybe they thought the game will sell better on PS4 than Xbox. Maybe the Dev team isn't very big so in the company best intrest of the company, they went for the platform with the biggest install base.

That is odd, I thought it was coming out on both. Maybe they used the ps3 digital sales to gage interest or maybe it's because Nordic are a small team of developers.

Whichever it is, I hope it sells enough to make them a profit so they can invest in Darksiders 3.

Please enough of the HD remaster remake. It is getting out if control. The Sad Thing These companies are getting greedy by not including multiple games in the package. There is no reason why Darkseiders 1 is not included. Same with GOW3 without Ascension and many others. $40 bucks and up, you gotta be kidding me!

Definitely getting this. I already have Darksiders 2 on PS3 but I really hope they make another game and I am going to show my support for the IP. This is a remaster that is worth it.

If e3 doesn't announce some great looking new IPs and a maybe some much anticipated sequals, I believe this gen will truly be lost and the console market will be digging its own grave. There should not be more remasters than new game announcements. At some point even 5he blind defenders of remasters will get fed up and it will be too late to save this gen.

Might still get this even though i had it on ps3. Why? Cause i bought used and did pretty much no side activities/collectibles because used meant no arena which meant no platinum, and though i care very little about the trophy itself it's just a thing with not having a payoff for the journey of 100%ing the game
