At this point I may just have to sell my house and build a shelter out of my backlog.

C-H-E-F3264d ago

ehh, I feel the pain... I'm actually hoping for a game drought so I can play everything. I bought Bloodbourne and haven't played it since release. NOT because it's not a great game but because soooo much has came out since. Plus having 2 jobs kills the extra time I used to have smh.

ifistbrowni3264d ago

I'm picking up dark souls 2 ps4 for sure. I'm glad I waited, I almost bought it the second I finished Bloodborne (they launched like a week apart. I've never played a Souls game and Bloodborne is like one of the best games I've played in a long time.

3-4-53263d ago

I didn't notice anything for Vita in there....O well, I'm sure there will be another sale in like 1 month.

KryptoniteTail3264d ago

Why did I buy Oreshika day 1 just to not play it and watch it go on sale? Note to self, you're f****** retarded.

pivotplease3264d ago

Same boat. I keep splurging and keep regretting lol. Oh well I can't say it was expensive building up this backlog between massive sales and PS plus.

RiPPn3264d ago (Edited 3264d ago )

Don't be to hard on yourself, it's only $5 off or was it only $20 the first week? Anyway yeah I'm in the same boat and bought it and haven't played it..

Eidolon3264d ago (Edited 3264d ago )

Happened to me a few times, now I don't buy games at launch unless I'm certain to play and beat it within 2 months. I have a huge enough backlog where that might be hard, and I'm usually not super excited about a game that I have to buy it full price at launch.

Double_O_Revan3264d ago

I used to do that crap all the time. I try to wait for big drops, but sometimes it's hard.

This was best deal I found, saints row 4 relected w/ the expansion for $15 bucks: https://store.playstation.c...

The other sales for PS4 can be found cheaper on Amazon and with a physical copy.

theshredded3264d ago (Edited 3264d ago )

decent sale,I'm still waiting for metro redux to be dirt cheap

Eidolon3264d ago (Edited 3264d ago )

I've noticed publisher based sales tend to have higher prices and don't get PS+ discounts. It's the genre/theme sales that have the lower prices, and I love flash sales, always buying something during those.

Wedge193264d ago

Fantastic, more things to spend my money on that I have to use time to work for and can't instead use that time to play things that I buy using my money earned during that time. Awh, I'm sad....

The 7 Best Souls-Like Games - Mastering the Challenge

The Souls-like genre remains popular, along with FromSoftware's classics there are many contenders. But which are the best Souls-like games?

toxic-inferno31d ago

Hmm... In my opinion, the 7 best are the 6 made by FromSoftware (DeS, DS1, DS2, DS3, BB and ER), then Lies of P. But each to their own.

kevco3331d ago

Still DS1? You don't feel it's been surpassed yet?

Demon's Souls has the remake of course, but DS1 has surely been outdated?

Smellsforfree31d ago

I think that the DS1 remake is better looking than DS2. The interior lighting matched with the low resolution textures in DS2 is very garish, IMO.

Besides graphics, what do you mean by DS1 being "outdated"? I'm someone who played through Elden Ring and just recently played through the DS series, and as far as gameplay went, there were all very similar.

Cacabunga31d ago

I haven’t played many but Bloodborne and NIOH1 are on top of my list.. had a blast with these 2

toxic-inferno31d ago

For world design and interconnectedness (that's a word, right?) DS1 is yet to be beaten.

9 Years Later, Does Bloodborne Deserve All The Praise It Gets?

Saad from eXputer: "Almost a decade later, it's time to take the nostalgia goggles off and accept that Bloodborne has long been surpassed by its successors."

jznrpg33d ago (Edited 33d ago )

Yes, yes it does. It’s still a great game. Elden Ring isn’t better just different and a bit easier . I like that you have to be aggressive but smart in Bloodborne

thorstein33d ago

I literally replayed it recently and it's better than I remember. I think it's like going back to a beloved book and noticing things I hadn't before.

raWfodog33d ago (Edited 33d ago )

Yo! I was getting ready to reply with the exact same four words you started with lol. Yes, I think Bloodborne has withstood the test of time and remains a great game. That’s why all the fans are hoping for a sequel someday. Hoping that we can catch that magic again with a new storyline.

Leeroyw33d ago

Yes. Just replayed it a few days ago. My first Platinum. And yes. I rage quitted so many times and called it BS too when I started. It's tight. The combat is amazing and the lore is rich.

GamingSinceForever32d ago

Elden Ring was easier? I don’t know about that at all. I remember leveling up in Bloodborne and breezing through it. In Elden Ring no matter how powerful I got I was still catching a beat down from every boss.

thorstein32d ago

That's due to scaling enemies. I remember not doing Haligtree untill near the end and having enemies withstand almost a full blast from Azur's Glintstone Staff Comet Azure. My level was quite high.

Melee characters are not fun in that game, especially for the Elden Beast.

MeteorPanda33d ago

Considering l did a run 2 months ago? Yes.

Played and enjoyed Far Cry, Far Cry 3 and 4 campaigns .

-Foxtrot49d ago

4 wasn’t so bad

Pagan Min was pretty entertaining

Skuletor49d ago

Yeah, 4 was good, was hard choosing which Golden Dawn member to side with, when they were both pieces of sh!t.
I've beaten all the main entries except 2 and 6, ended up uninstalling 6 to download something else instead.

Profchaos49d ago

I'd love a far cry pack with the original PC game (not the half assed port on ps360) instincts, predator even a port of far cry 2 to modern consoles back when these games had their own identity and weren't far cry 3 cut and pastel

Demetrius49d ago

Still one of my most favorite franchises along with assassins creed

banger8849d ago (Edited 49d ago )

Same here, I don't know why these games get so much hate. I've thoroughly enjoyed every single one of them, with only a couple of exceptions. I wish they'd hurry up and announce Far Cry 7. The only thing I'm concerned about is the rumoured time limit.
