Techraptor's Alex Santa Maria was able to talk with various indie developers as he runs down the Desura Payment situation
While folks will immediately remember Desura’s troubles paying developers since two weeks ago, these issues may be traceable as far back as when Linden Lab sold it.
Indie Developers associated with Desura are outraged. The digital distribution site, Desura, now affiliated with Bad Juju Games Inc. has supposedly lost contact with all their developers for quite some time and have most importantly, neglected to pay them through its bundle site Indie Royale. Keeping them out of the loop when to expect their money or even to inform their developers what’s going on with the company.
GamersNexus: "Digital distribution platform Desura, recently acquired by Badjuju, has reportedly failed to pay its partnered developers over the past several months. Through forum posts and reader emails, we've learned that indie game developers who have entrusted the service with the sale of their games have gone unpaid, despite exceeding payment threshold requirements. We've received multiple emails from indie developers pertaining to Desura's lack of payment and decided to conduct further investigation."
