Hideo Kojima posts a nostalgic photo to his Twitter

In the wake of the MGSV 1984 Clothing Collection announcement, Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima has posted a nostalgic photo to his Twitter, showing the rare Metal Gear Solid 2 t-shirts that were available back in 2001. The t-shirts feature an image of Japanese singer and spokesmodel for the game, GACKT, holding a baby.

When asked why someone as seemingly random as GACKT was chosen to be MGS2's spokesmodel, Kojima responded with a trademark creative reason:

The reason I asked GACKT to be on MGS2's commercials is "MGS1" was about DNA & "MGS2" MEME. DNA consists "AGTC", adding "K" of KOJIMA becomes "GACKT".

It's usually hard to tell the difference between stoned and eccentric. There are tell tale signs though to see the difference. A strong desire for munchies is one of them. I fixed the above quote to show the difference.

I think it's been confirmed that he still works at konami at the moment, but surely he's quitting after MGS5 is finished
