RPGamer:
North Americans have had the option of playing Ys VI: The Ark of Napishtim on both PS2 and PSP for a long time, but its original PC incarnation remained untranslated for twelve years. XSEED Games has just localized it, and thus Falcom's first foray into the modern era of Ys can be experienced. I played Ys VI on PS2 courtesy of Konami's port, and experiencing it again brought back some good memories. Ys VI on PC is not drastically different from its console ports, but that still means it's worth playing for anyone who enjoys the series or a fast-paced action RPG.
VGChartz's Adam Cartwright: "The PSP was blessed with multiple entries and this support continued onto the Vita, with remakes, ports, and a brand new title releasing over the course of the handheld’s life. It made the franchise a perfect choice for this series of articles, because although the series' future definitely isn’t on Sony’s handhelds at this point, it still had some brilliant representation over the past 12 years.
So in this article I’ll be looking back at a history of the franchise on Sony’s handhelds, from its origins on the PSP right through the latest release on Vita, with an emphasis on the quality of the ports to the handhelds as well as any sales figures that are available, alongside a conclusion of how well the franchise has done on the platforms."
Oath at Fhelgana, Seven, Memories of Celceta and Lacrimosa of Dana are amazing games. I adore the Ys series, and Adol is one of my favorite JRPG characters ever.
With games being made all around the world, titles can sometimes be difficult to pronounce. Here are 10 games that can leave people tongue tied.
Deus Ex - They Use X
Ehrgeiz - Ear gease?
Disgaea - This guy ya
Cthulhu - Coo thoo loo
Atelier - Ah teh liar?
It may be shown up by later entries in the series, but Ys VI remains a good time ten years later.
