I love at least one game a month, and usually like 1-2 more between the PS4 and PS3.

This might be the last year for the PS3 on PS+ but I'll enjoy it as long as it lasts.

I honestly think of ps+ monthly free games as a bonus more than anything... What amazes me the most that I look forward too are the ps+ weekend flash deals! :-D outstanding prices for average too excellent games.

Yes, the plus has had better games, but I paid 30€ per year of xbox live gold, and plus paid 50€

You can of course get both for 30 dollars if you pay attention for deals. Your argument is invalid.

Yep, with deals you can generally get either one for $30 to $40. Black Friday is always a nice time for discounts on them.

Why would you buy one thing cheaper than the other? And yes you do not have to get PS+ at full price, as with XBL there are places that sell PS+ at a discounted price.

I wouldn't pay for it if PS Plus didn't offer the games across 3 systems. The last game where I used multiplayer was Destiny and I haven't played it since November.

Not completely true, there is free. 2 Play games on the PS4 that has online free multiplayer, and there is free 2 play games also on the xbox one. So not completely true of "no free online Multiplayer gaming" yes it would . limit You to free 2 play games if you want multiplayer without require of a subscription, but there. Is some good free 2 play online multiplayer gaming for the ps4 right now. With no online sub required other than your cost in iSP costs.lol

PS+ had better and more games to offer. GWG is still new and PS+ had been around longer.

Doesn't really matter when the games being given away are either new downloadable games or older AAA / retail games. All they're doing is making deals with devs to give their games away to gamers, the content gamers are getting depends of what the companies are able to pull off. If you count May alone, PS4 gets 5 (2 PS4 games, 2 crossbuy with PS3, and 1 crossbuy with Vita) games and xbone gets 2.

Overall, if you have multiple Sony systems, you're gonna get a lot more games (6 PS games spread across 3 systems vs 2 xbone and 2 360 games). And that's not including the discounts PS+ members get on various games.

For me the free games don't really have much value. If they are good games, chances are we already have them.

Not necessarily true, a lot of people hold off because they may be waiting to hear more reviews or what other gamers think about, money can be an issue also or just too occupied with what they already have.

There could be a lot of variables as to why people may not own them.

I only downloaded one game with ps+ when I had it and that was Resogun since it was free at launch and also a game I wanted. This year I canceled PS+ and had to buy Resogun anyhow to keep playing. Basically should have been pretty cheap to buy it but I ended up paying around 60 dollars for one arcade game.

Why do we keep up with these stupid pi$$ing contests. If you have PS+ download the free PS+ games. If you subscribe to XBL then download the respective games on that service. If you own both then you have the best of both worlds.

Have the "free" games available since the launch of the PS4 or XB1 been worthy of picking one console over the other... no.

Free games typically don't cost money. Are the games offered with EA Access also free? If they are, I really don't see how there is no value in that.

Let's look at what is being sold to us.

PS+ is a game subscription service. We are paying for the games. They are not "free". On the PS4 you have to pay to get the games in order to play online. To recap, we are paying for the game subscription service in order to access the free online game play.

Live is an online matchmaking game service. We pay a subscription fee so we can play our games online. Games with Gold was added at no extra cost to the online game service. We are paying to play online, the games were actually thrown in for free.

This sets up very unique expectations for customers. With PS+ the expectation is the games are appealing so customers get value for the money spent. Online gaming expectations are very low since that isn't what the subscription fee is for. We simply have access to the free online with our paid game rental service.

With Live, the damn online better work since we are paying for it. Games are an after thought and not something being paid for. We pay to play online, the games are a perk to the service.

The games for xbox 360 are not amazingly good value(with some exceptions, of course). most are games that no-one would even buy any more, like red faction: armageddon, Halo 3{only because of its age - it's a great game} and various others. judgement surprised me - it's not bad if you don't get too caught up with the shotgun noobs. ultimately, you can't complain about something that's free. if you are already signed up to these services, that's great - it's a bonus - but it's not worth signing up for.

Both service free games are mostly trash. The exception being sometime there are some gems like Witcher 2 the appears once in a while on x36o but most of these so called free games, especially on this current gen, sucks.

As am overall service and online stability, features, Xbox live is better. No contest there
