Why We Don't Plan to Provide Further Coverage of Sony Wikileaks Reveals Related to Nintendo Movies

NLife:
Last year Sony Pictures was hacked, and thousands of emails were stolen and effectively used as weapons against executives, film-makers and those within that creative industry. Saucy emails were shared showing executives bashing movie stars, and there were even leaks related to talks that had taken place with regards to potential Nintendo movies. In fact, much of what you're seeing in headlines today actually emerged around five months ago.

We picked up on the emails last year related to a Mario movie that was revealed by Buzzfeed. We won't, however, be joining in this time with the further leaks that have appeared on Wikileaks.

I bought an A90J and got credits for free movies. Now Core wont recognize my log in. Hoping it’ll recognize it in PS.

hiroyukisanada245d ago

This is so dope! I'm hyped for this since they ended the PlayStation Video app where I used to buy my digital movies

blackblades245d ago (Edited 245d ago )

We been saying for years they add anime or movies to the ps+ now they are

EvertonFC244d ago

Agreed, took them long enough, I'm expecting the odd early access mucic album too in the future or a free film as part of ps plus extra/premium each month.

EvertonFC244d ago (Edited 244d ago )

That's my problem we lost our films from them, I have more confidence in buying from Amazon prime being a thing in 30 years than Sony core being a thing in 30 years ?
I'd love to start buying my films from Sony core but I'm not sure tbh.

FinalFantasyFanatic244d ago

I remember that, one of my co-workers was upset about that when it happened years ago.

you subscribe to a gaming service to get old movies

KwietStorm_BLM245d ago

Looks like you subscribe to a gaming service for gaming services with extras thrown in at no extra cost and watch people find something to complain about on the internet. But maybe that's just me.

Stanjara245d ago

35% price increase is extra cost.

ModsDoBetter245d ago (Edited 245d ago )

Sony hinted that there was news regarding their investment in PS Plus after the backlash they got with the recent price hike. So no, its not thrown in at "No extra cost" whatever way you try and spin it, they hoisted that price high...AGAIN.

1nsomniac244d ago

Haha no extra cost! …and just like that, 35% vanishes into thin air.

Wow. There you have it. A perfect case study of how easy it is to manipulate people into saying the stupidest things.

ModsDoBetter244d ago

@1nsomniac

Exactly, they're incredible 😂 they twist and stretch facts constantly.

Just look at the comments here with the usual suspects praising this - the ability to BUY AND RENT movies (something they removed from us only recently) and a handful of old movies to stream 😂 yet they all complain about older games on GamePass.

They say this is a free addition yet only a few months ago Sony hiked prices by 35% and they're *slightly* outraged (though some diehard Blues still tried to defend it) now Sony let's you buy and rent movies with plus and they're like "wow, it's free😍😍😍 ;😍"

JackBNimble244d ago

Funny, I canceled my subscription because of the extra cost . And before they even increased the price, I was questioning whether or not extra or premium was worth it for me.

Even with the movies the answer is still a big fat no... and by the way , I only speak for myself. I really don't care how anyone else wastes their money.

KwietStorm_BLM244d ago

No extra cost **on top of your subscription** meaning whatever you pay for PS Plus, it's included with that. That part was understated. You all can't actually be serious right now.

FinalFantasyFanatic244d ago (Edited 244d ago )

They might as well give us something extra after the price increase (technically I haven't payed it since I have about 3 years of Plus essential save up for discounts/deals). I don't know if this is enough to encourage me to pay for Extra/premium though, might just stick with essential after all.

Yes, because only watchable movies are new movies

LOGICWINS245d ago

If those movies are "new" to whoevers watching them, then I don't see the issue. I enjoy watching a lot of older 80s/90s movies/tv shows. A lot better than the crap we have now tbh.

FinalFantasyFanatic244d ago

It's hard to get excited for newer movies, we're inundated with super hero and star wars movies, so it's nice when something like Barbie, Top Gun Maverick or Openheimer come along. A lot of 80s/90s movies are still solid gold though and I still enjoy re-watching them even though I've seen them dozens of times.

EvertonFC244d ago

We get great games unlike you and this is just more content on top, plus the gran turismo film is brand spanking new not old.
Plus all sub services have new and old, it's called content.

ModsDoBetter244d ago

You don't vet GT movie though?
You get the privilege of paying to rent it before it goes go Prime and other services. Hardly a justification for the ps hike.

CrimsonWing69244d ago

The way I see it is we get the gaming service benefits and they threw in an additional feature for movies.

I mean, how dare they give their subscribers more, right?

Not to excited but I'm sure I'll get use out of it. So cool.

Not related to this but anyone in UK or around there. There's a movie from 95 called dead presidents. It's owned by Disney somehow lol. Any It shows on disney plus but not in america. Can anyone verify that.

ModsDoBetter244d ago

UK here - doesn't show on Disney+ app.

FinalFantasyFanatic244d ago

Disney owns almost everything, so I wouldn't be surprised if they own it (my sister recently started watching Dinosaurs on it).

Watch Dogs 2 film confirmed, and PS4 gets DLC 30-day exclusive

Speaking at Ubisoft’s press conference, Jim Ryan, Sony President of Global Sales & Marketing, confirmed that Sony Pictures will be creating a new ‘blockbuster’ movie based on the action-adventure franchise.

Lennoxb632914d ago

The protagonist looks like Steelo from Ridiculousness lol. They should use him.

S-Word2914d ago

Why make a film for the obvious crappy 2nd game if you don't even have a film for the first game? This is obviously a rhetorical question as Ubisoft has been trash for quite some time now. Can't wait until that company goes bankrupt.
