A guy from Gonintendo got a hands on with The Conduit at E3.
There’s a consensus about Splatoon 1 that cannot be disputed: motion controls are the way to play. The Wii U Gamepad had its many problems on the system as a whole, but along with the way in which the touch screen was implemented in the first game like I mentioned in my last piece, using the Gamepad’s gyroscope was deemed a superior way to play compared to traditional joystick control.
Rustyshell.com: The Conduit strived to be the quality FPS experience Wii owners were missing out on, with quality graphics and a robust online multiplayer component.
Hardcore Gamer: The Conduit was an interesting first-person shooter that sneaked its way onto the Wii amid a deluge of shovelware and "family" games.
Yeah, this is a buy, the weapons sound cool, I wonder how the multiplayer will be.
Damn yea that it is.Game comeing along great.I don't get why nintendo didn't highlight this game at E3.This game for the core and seeing a working demo like that would of raised hopes.I can't wait for this game custom control's great grafics good story and online which is a huge plus.Only thing that worrys me is the voice chat.Nintendo's wiispeak sounds good but what if it's just ppl on your friends list that would be the big let down.Surely theres a way around that for 3rd partys if nintendo set it up that way.
they finally get an online shooter...and thank god there are still third party devs like high voltage, and insomniac out there that are loyal, hard working, non money horders, and focus on the fans more then anything
People need to see The Conduit but only in high resolution videos, cause ive seen videos that show standard resolution and the game look half as good as it really is.
"I can’t tell you which I liked more…the actual game, or the passion from the guys at High Voltage. I can’t stress enough that these guys are true Wii fans and gamers…just like you and I. They don’t get why third parties don’t deliver AAA content to the Wii."
Respect to High Voltage!
EDIT: I really hope these guys can make some money selling a hardcore game on the Wii. I'd be gutted for true gamer's game devs like these guys to die out.
I might even buy back a Wii just to buy The Conduit to support these guys. We need more of this in our industry.
