1UP: Wario Land: Shake It! Hands-On Preview

Wario Land 4 was one of Nintendo's first releases for Game Boy Advance, and it remained one of the best through the end of the console's lifespan. Shake It! changes a few things up; Wario's enemy-inflicted ailments seem to be out (at least in the portions of the game we saw), while new motion-controlled elements have been added. Don't fret, though -- the Wii Remote-based elements are tasteful and effective. The game is controlled entirely with the Wii-mote, primarily with the sideways NES-style position. It's basically your typical 2D platformer; Wario runs and jumps and does his charging rush attack, just like in previous Wario games. In fact, the opening tutorial stage is almost exactly the same as in Wario Land 4, and as before, once you reach the "end" of a level, you're forced to rush back to the start before a timer runs down.
