The Vita’s not dead, but it does need more support.

Parallax Play:"Even though it's only been around for just over 3 years, many people already seem to think that the PS Vita has no place in the current market among competitors like the 3DS and smartphones for a range of different reasons. The arguments that the handheld "has no games" or that it's "just an add-on to the PS4" are regularly brought up or the perception that you'll only be able to play 'indie games' which you'd likely be able to play on another console. Well, I find this to be far from the case as the Vita is a very capable portable console, with a decent library of titles that keeps getting bigger, provided that you're into the type of games the Vita's become specialised in. But, more could be done to introduce more people to the platform and give gamers a reason stick with the Vita before it continues to fade even further into the background."

It's a sad shame that the Vita is performing below expectations sales wise! But I'll be the first to say it's definitely "NOT" because it's a bad handheld. IMO it's an amazing piece of technology. I just believe Sony just didn't market it right or, give it the necessary push publicity wise. I believe if more knew what it really is capable of and yes even a price cut, there is aa strong possibility of it seeing a revival

Nah it's too late. I like my Vita also but nothing at this point is gonna magically turn Vita around. What Really matters is a consistent release of good quality games. Otherwise a price cut will just cause a momentary spike.

Even if 5 AAA games per week were released on Vita that wouldn't make it sell any better because not only most people doesn't know what the hell a PSV is but even less they know what games are out/coming on it.

What the Vita really needs is good marketing, make people acknowledge it and make them want one, hype people, its that simple. Every AAA publisher got that right but Sony, apparently losing up to $1.5 billions per year on their mobile segment isn't a big issue but investing on the Vita is a big no.

I like my Vita, since I'm in college I'm limited on play time however during the summer/breaks I play it.

As a machine the Vita is a killer handheld, but...wrong kind of games (indies and japanese games won't attract the mainstream gamer), expensive memory cards and restrictions with accounts/file copying killed the machine.

As the moment...

The Vita is awesome for remote play and PSNOW.

That's it.

I wouldn't recommend it to anyone for its games.

Fortunately, no one is asking you for your recommendations.

Good avatar!
Vita is an awesome gaming device. And support is still flowing nicely.

A Lego Ninjago game done right plays fantastic on the PS Vita!
Completely came out of nowhere! I was shocked. No ads no preview no nothing!
Truly a must have for me when I get home.
Spring gaming fort mee is. Perfect. With Bloodborne Toukiden and Ninjago!

Thank you PlayStation!

Funny considering Vita is only 1m ahead with one year start.

Unlike the Vita. Wii U has games from Nintendo coming. Shows Nintendo cares even it hardware sales are lackluster.

Vita only have a life in Japan.

And have you heard Destiny of Spirits shutting down.

Sony is stupid for killing off support for Vita too early.
If they took it seriously like PS4 it would had been at least 20m sold.

But nope they just letting the Vita be raised by Japanese publisher who treat it better than Sony.

Almost like how Piccolo raised Gohan. Goku = Sony terrible father.
