I've played through every Lego game with the exception of the Lego Movie Game. I can honestly say that none of them are terrible. Sure, some are better than others, just like any game series, but again, i've never finished one and thought it was terrible.
Since i haven't played the movie game i can't say whether or not EVERYTHING IS AWEFUUUUUUUUL, but it honestly wouldnt surprise me as it was a movie tie-in game that was timed to release around the time the movie released. As gamers we should all know by now that games like that are almost never good. I avoid them like the plague as i've been burned too many times in the past.
I pretty much have bought every Lego game since Marvel Super Heroes. They're one of the few games I can play with my 4 year old and he can even play on his own. Plus, I enjoy them myself. Even picked up some older ones (LOTR and Lego City Undercover).
