With the release of Final Fantasy Type-0 HD - a PS4 and Xbox One remaster of a four-year-old PSP game - as well as a playable teaser for the much-anticipated Final Fantasy XV, now's the perfect time to look back at the seminal Japanese role-playing series, and rank each game from worst to best.
Ignoring direct sequels (sorry, X-2 and Lightning Returns) and massively multiplayer entries XI and XIV (which are great in their own right), we're focusing on the games that make up the core numbered sequels.

Very much so. Graphically it's dated but the story and the gameplay haven't aged a day. It's still one of my all time favourite RPGs and for me is better than Remake in some ways.

I think Final Fantasy IX is the best, so I agree with that being in the #1 position, but don't agree with FF12 being so high
FF6-10 are the 5 best
