With recent news regarding Kojima no longer working with Konami, one can only worry about the fate of the Metal Gear Solid series in the hands of the publisher who kills off everything they touch.
My attention however is directed at Silent Hills, and what could potentially be the franchise’s second death, the first being its development being handed off to a different team following Silent Hill 2’s success as one of the greatest horror games of all-time.
Silent Hill and Metal Gear Solid publisher Konami has reported record profits this year, driven largely by its video games and amusements.
Hanzala from eXputer: "Contra: Operation Galuga is a classic revival done right, but why hasn't Konami done the same yet for the bigger and more popular Castlevania?"
Slowdown. Let them get these suikoden games done first. Alot of us are still waiting for those
well, the new C ontra was made by Wayforward, who have been taking sooooo many of these classic franchises and making new iterations of them. Imo they aren't very good at it. And I don't see operation galuga being a large enough success to possibly give them Castlevania.
Hideo Kojima is widely known as a video games auteur, but what are his best games outside the Metal Gear franchise?
Silent Hills needs to happen especially after the huge hype P.T made for it. Konami cant be dumb enough to let Kojima go without finishing this game.
They're gonna make it a next gen multiplayer silent hills game again and will be free to play. Of course im not hoping for that. But I really hate the fact that they used the face of an actor to be the protag. It just takes the sense of 'you' in a horror game.
Konami is right up there with Capcom as one of the most ignorant publishers/developers. Silent Hill and Resident Evil were the best horror games until they were both butchered. Kojima is Konami. I mean what the hell do they have without him? I know that the MGS series is created by hundreds of people but Kojima is the heart and soul of the series. How do they retain the wit, humor, and sillyness of the series? Kojima is one of the only developers that can write something serious and silly all in the same stroke. Phantom Pain will be the last MGS I buy if Kojima is not attached to it. As much as I love the series it just won't be the same without seeing Kojima productions in the opening credits.
maybe all of this "kojima left konami" bullshit is another one of kojimas psyhological games that hes so good at
Kojima seriously needs to speak up and clarify this.
