Street Fighter V full roster, new characters details, seasonal updates and more details leak

A massive Street Fighter V leak has appeared today online possibly revealing the full game roster, gameplay mechanics, new characters details, beta info and more.

Majin-vegeta3348d ago

Seasonal updates??SO I'm guessing they will only make one version of SF 5 and just update it over time?

Man this looks like some Juicy info.Gonna bookmark it and see if it;s true when the time comes.

Yi-Long3348d ago (Edited 3348d ago )

It basically just means they'll DLC-milk the hell out of it.... as usual.

The currently announced line-up of characters looks terrible to me, TBH. many characters I honestly just don't care about.

Crimzon3348d ago

Yeah, already planning day 1 DLC. Shameful.

Blackleg-sanji3348d ago

But how do you know it will be full of dlc we barley know anything yet we should wait nd see maybe they'll switch it up

Sitdown3348d ago

@Crimzon
At some point you have to release the game. Not every idea is ready by time a disc is pressed.

Imalwaysright3348d ago

@ Blackleg-sanji

We're talking about Capcom.

sinjonezp3348d ago

So no Ken, and two new characters....btw, akuma, who has been in street fighter since super ssf2 turbo, is a day one dlc.........wow...smh

ShinMaster3347d ago (Edited 3347d ago )

I remember when Shin Akuma was unlockable.

Now base Akuma is DLC?

Street Fighter V is looking good so far. Im definitely looking forward to seeing more about it.

garos823348d ago

Im calling this rumour a fake. I seriously don't see them omitting Ken ever from a Street Fighter game.

ironfist923348d ago

The game still has a long way to go until finished, yet theyre already considering cut content for DLC, which could just as easily be put into the game.

When will people start saying enough to DLC?

forgetmenot3348d ago

They got away with this 7th gen ,and now its gotten out of hand many are to blamed

strugler3348d ago

I know right. But what the hell no Ken ??? I guess he has retired and looking for his wife and child.

Yi-Long3348d ago (Edited 3348d ago )

As I mentioned above: They'll DLC-milk the hell out of this, so Ken will simply end up as DLC. You want to play as Ken!? You're gonna need to pay Capcom some extra money!

Other fan-favourites like Sakura, Blanka, Sagat and Ibuki, among many others, are missing as well. No doubt they'll end up as DLC also.

Basically, you'll be buying an incomplete game, because there will be many characters added later on, which honestly should already have been included in the retail-release.

Blackleg-sanji3348d ago

Sooo pretty much the standard current gen game then

Yi-Long3348d ago

The Witcher 3 is current gen. They won't be DLC-milking. They'll be getting my money on day 1.

Capcom won't. None of the other greedy DLC-milking developers won't either.

maniacmayhem3348d ago

Don't forget how SFIII completely changed the roster and had a whole new cast of characters.

And having each character change their fighting style, if true means I can see Ryu having a Ken style of play.

Remember Marvel vs Capcom part 1? Ryu could transform his fighting style to Ken and Akuma (if I remember right).

But besides the point I am taking this list with a grain of salt because it is so unimpressive at the moment. My only mains that made the cut are Bison and Elena. I am glad Urien made it back since I always liked that character.

garos823348d ago

@maniacmahem good point. i didnt think of it like that.
Well i guess we will lmpw for sure sooner or later

-Lawless-3348d ago

I understand your frustration, but it sounds like you're complaining about Capcom doing the same thing everyone else does with their games at this point.

I don't see a problem with the game releasing with a set amount of characters and them adding additions to the game overtime via a season pass.

It's something I actually prefer over Super/Ultra versions that dissect the community and separate players who don't want to upgrade to another iteration.

Tdmd3348d ago (Edited 3348d ago )

This rooster is terrible! If that's really final, I'll stick with MKX for now and wait for the first of the many complete editions that will pop up in the future. Too many omissions in this (ken, sagat, sakura, cammy, juri, blanka, yun&yang, guile...)
:(

Looks like a lot of characters from III are making an appearance which tells me this is a true sequel and continuing the story of SF.

"He is responsible for Nash being a brainwashed android as well."

With the info I expressed above and Nash's look I would assume that it's Gill or Urien that resurrected Nash. Unless Bison through this Kuan guy acquired that power.

No Vega...No Cody...no Fei!? None of my mains sadly...I guess Ill have to be a casual player when this comes to PC.

Yi-Long3348d ago

Looking at the roster it looks like they wan't to fill the initial release with the more unpopular characters that nobody will want to buy as DLC, while keeping the popular characters back on purpose.

RAM0N 3348d ago

I will miss you King Sagat

strugler3348d ago

I am pretty sure Sagat will be in one of them Seasonal DLC pack

RAM0N 3348d ago

This leak was confirmed to be not true

wolf5813348d ago (Edited 3348d ago )

cant wait the father of beat'm ups to come to my ps4 please capcom make it happen atleast on christmas holiday... also is better with seasonal updates, 1st it'll probably make it this year and no new releases every 1,5 year which is annoying

Street Fighter 5: Analysing a Tarnished Legacy

Street Fighter 5 launched in 2016, and is widely considered a misstep for the hugely popular franchise. This article explains why that is.

Terry_B142d ago

Every Street Fighter is called a misstep of the series since Street Fighter III..and even the Alpha games were not liked by everyone.

SF V had a miserable start but later it did a lot things actually better than SFIV and SF6.

SF6 is the first SF since SFII Turbo for that I did not buy at launch. And today, around 6 months after its launch I still have no motivation to buy it.

kevco33140d ago

I've had every Street Fighter on launch since SFII on the SNES. SFV is definitely my least played of them all.

SF6 is very good. You should give it a second look.

Terry_B140d ago

Maybe in 2-3 years when there is a version that has characters I care for.

So far there is not one of the new characters I like..and my favourite 4 are not a part of it either. (Bison, Balrog, Sagat and Vega) + the whole hip hop style and the crappy music turned me totally off.

Looking forward a lot to Tekken 8.

Sano24140d ago

SF4 vanilla was loved by most and and not considered a misstep. It wasn't until they went revision crazy that people started turning on Capcom.

Terry_B140d ago

Don't remember the criticques it got for the big hands and feet, the sometimes weird looking faces, the lame boss (Seth) and that so many characters were shotos and yup..the many new versions. Just every SF got its haters no matter how good it was.

Nerdmaster140d ago

It was criticized for the first trailers having an interesting art style with those ink splashes, but the real game had none of that and people felt cheated. And Capcom decided to add some of those effects in the game later because of the backlash. But I don't remember any other big complaints about it.

EvertonFC140d ago

I grew out of fighting games, loved them as a kid but online you just get your ass kicked over and over leaving just the bare bones single player and also having no friends anymore who like fighting games either just makes me not want to buy or play them anymore.

CrimsonWing69140d ago

I dunno, I like Street Fighter 5 quite a bit. 🤷‍♂️

Shiro173140d ago

Sf6 is the best sf since sf4ae lol
