At the start of this year, it seemed like it was going to be a killer 2015 for Sony . As we saw at their winter “PlayStation Experience” event, the message was simple, a slow start for the PS4 was about to give away to a flood of great exclusives the following year. The most anticipated three Sony games of the year were The Order: 1886, Bloodborne and Uncharted 4.
The Souls-like genre remains popular, along with FromSoftware's classics there are many contenders. But which are the best Souls-like games?
Hmm... In my opinion, the 7 best are the 6 made by FromSoftware (DeS, DS1, DS2, DS3, BB and ER), then Lies of P. But each to their own.
Saad from eXputer: "Almost a decade later, it's time to take the nostalgia goggles off and accept that Bloodborne has long been surpassed by its successors."
Yes, yes it does. It’s still a great game. Elden Ring isn’t better just different and a bit easier . I like that you have to be aggressive but smart in Bloodborne
"Sony is missing out on a hugely profitable opportunity by ignoring fan demands for a Bloodborne remaster and PC port," says Ahmed from eXputer.
Bloodborne came out on the PS4. It is owned by From Software. What missed opportunity? I am sure the people at From Software know what they are doing. Especially since they are hiring devs instead of laying them off.
Maybe do an article about that instead of writing a hit piece on them acting like they don't know how to run their business.
It will be a launch title on PS6 just like the remake of Demon's Souls for PS5 launch
After I read this part I had to laugh;
"So we’re left with Bloodborne, and from the looks of it, the game has the potential to finally reverse this trend of bad news for Sony. Though the game has experienced some delays, it will indeed be released on March 24th, and will have to be exhibit A in Sony’s case as to why the PS4 is worth picking up over its rivals."
Bwhaaaahahahahahaaaaa!
The PS4 has more games incoming than any other console and that's the main reason why it's worth picking up and the main reason why it continues to sell nearly 1 million consoles per month worldwide.
@Septic
Sure you could argue that more isn't necessarily better, but having a wide variety of choices IS better than having LESS choices. You're also entitled to your OPINION in regards to the PS4's lineup, but you don't mind if I disagree with your OPINION do you?
Yeah these articles about the PS4 having nothing after Bloodborne are getting tiresome.
We do not know what other games or projects that Sony has in development that has yet to be announced. Last year almost nobody knew Little Big Planet 3 was in the works until that E3 announcement. Who knows maybe Last Guardian may be the trump card that Sony finally re-reveals to make up for the Uncharted 4 delay, having that game release this year would definintely make up for that news.
Then there is Guerilla's new game, Media Molecule's, Sony Bend, Quantic Dream's and whatever else is in the works. It's not even E3 yet so why are these articles even showing up.
All I saw was Bloodborne, then thought about how it's so imminent. The rest was blah, blah, blah.
So excited for it to unlock!
It's a bit of a niche genre but it should be a really great game, hopefully it's the start of a good run for the ps4.
you know what have i understand after so many years watching the consoles war??That every time we found something new to criticise sony but in the end they always win...
