Marvelous has cancelled Kaio: King of Pirates, its 3DS action RPG led by Comcept and Keiji Inaune.
According to Marvelous, Kaio was being developed as a powerful new IP for the company, but after sudden changes in the market environment that would make developing the initially planned cross media project difficult, it was decided that the company would cancel the project. As a result, Marvelous has lost 461 million yen (approx. $3.8 million USD).
Marvelous and Honey Parade Games announced Senran Kagura 10, but it's not the new game fans of the series have been waiting for.
Marvelous shared its financial results for the second quarter of the fiscal year, related to the period between July 1 and Sept. 30.
