Nokia would like you to forget about the original N-Gage, the awkward 2003 mobile phone/gaming system that looked like a taco and that popularized the term "sidetalking". Now the company is looking to relaunch N-Gage not as a piece of hardware but rather as a gaming service. Basically, N-Gage is a gaming platform that will run on a range of Nokia hardware.
To help usher in this new N-Gage era the company is planning to launch a free-to-play game that will work on N-Gage phones as well as the PC. This flagship game is called Reset Generation.
Video game technology has made amazing leaps since its arcade beginnings. It seems like before long gaming systems will support an infinite number of bits. And while this allows for lightning fast frame rates, movie-quality soundtracks, and graphics so realistic they threaten the uncanny valley, sometimes it's nice to return to a simpler time. Even though I'm practically wetting myself in anticipation of the LittleBigPlanet full game release later this month, I still have my NES, and I'll admit I still love all that 8-bit goodness. Reset Generation invites gamers to "return to the playground of our youth," and I am RSVP'ing "hell yeah!"

Since this is a first-party Nokia title, you're unlikely to find this unique game on any other console or phone. The humor alone is great, but Reset Generation also has a complex, challenging multiplayer mode. It's easily worth playing for hours on the Web for free, but if you have a Nokia phone, Reset Generation is also a must-buy for the road.
