RACE Pro - Xbox 360 exclusive screens

Atari has just announced that it is to bring RACE Pro exclusively to the Xbox 360 platform at the end of the year. Atari also released some announcement screenshots.

Well, this is a nice attempt from Atari, but Polyphony Digital makes the best Simulation Racing games and Gran Turismo 5 Prologue looks WAY better than those screeshots and I even think that Forza 2 may even look a "little" better than those screenshots.

This is SimBin's work, not Atari's. SimBin's racing simulations are some of best and most realistic ever. Their games are not about the graphics, but rather about the gameplay. Looks like they improved the graphics for the console crowd, though.

I mean with all the hype for Forza 3 pushing the 360 to it's limits, Grid, and Project Gotham coming fall, I don't see this catching a lot of attention with what has been presented in the screenshots.

i've played the demo to death and notice that there's nice benefit to those who buy the game...... better everything, and it has a really nice campaign coupled with stylish graphics....,well, i'm getting it anyway cause of the slick smooth graphics, but i'm still going to keep my eye out for this new game, and forza 3 definitely.

The graphics are not revolutionary but they are still good to grab your attention. It looks a little better or equal to GRID the yellowish tint of GRID is not here and the light is more bright.

This game was in works after GTR2 and was labelled as GTR something earlier.

Lets see Forza 3 is said to push th gfx and performance in unthinkable way if so they should be doing better than this. But even if they get till this point with their usual @60 fps, custom mods it will be great.

Question though is XBox does'nt support a good brand steering wheel unlike PS3 ( G25 wheel, to which I have, or will it?... ) - on my Formula One, GranTurismo Prologue game.

yeah, I guess I should thank Phil Harrison too. He Dumped working on "Home" .He left Sony for Atari and know hes making exclusive games for the 360. What more can a true gamer ask for??? Thanks Phil :)

I have RACE 07 on the PC so racing fans on the XBOX format are in for a treat though its an odd choice of exclusivity considering its a racing game and that genre on the 360 is hamstrung by a lack of decent steerign wheels. You'd have thought by now MS would be courting the likes of Logitech to make wheels as the PS3 has the choice of quite a number of the Logitech wheels made over the years including the top of the range G25 as well as high quality wheels from other manufacturers like Fanatec and their Porsche badged wheel. The 360 wheel is way overpriced (like all of their peripherals) and for the price is low qulaity compared to the rest of the market not to mention the embarassing product recall.

To enjoy a game that will hopefully be as realitic as its PC counterpart you really need a decent steering wheel, as it stands at the moment there is no choice. Its like giving someone the keys to a Ferrari and then they jump in and find you've taken away the steering wheel.
