Super Stardust Ultra review -The Guardian - visually splendid sci-fi shooter

Genre convention asserts that the best 2D shooters are made in Japan, not Europe, and as a consequence, the Euro shoot-’em-up (or “Euroshmup” to the cognoscenti) is applied as a broad derogatory term to lacklustre contributions to the field, often regardless of country of origin.

I plan to snag Stardust VR soon. It is on PSN sale for cheap.

FTLmaster1120d ago

Do it! It’s a seriously addictive experience. Housemarque is the master of modern arcade classic gameplay. Curious to see how Returnal turns out tbh.

Knushwood Butt1120d ago

Thanks. Downloaded it and will be playing it shortly.

Pre-ordered Returnal too.

Marijuana Is Legal; Here Are Some Inexpensive Games To Enjoy With Your "Buds"

New VR Mode Changes Game’s ESRB Rating, Even For Players Who Don't Get The New Mode

Quote: Many PlayStation owners received a system notification on Thursday that the frenetic arcade-style shooter Super Stardust Ultra is getting bumped up from an ESRB rating of E to E10+. A video game’s rating doesn’t usually change after it’s been released. In this case, strangely, the rating will change even though, for some people, the game will not.

ArchangelMike2771d ago

Not surprising really, there will need to be a new rating system for VR games. There'll also need to be a new health warning system.

captainexplosion2770d ago

I don't think this article is correct that the VR mode costs extra.

One of my favorite most played games on ps3, about the same game on Vita and ps4. If you haven't played it I recommend it, think of it like a better variation of geometry wars
