The Crew Review - Duuro

Duuro says,"The Crew is a fantastic game and probably one of the coolest racing games ever to be released. The driving mechanics, the collection of cars, the types of racing, the insane amount of content and the multiplayer are well developed and work well, but those are just icing. The freedom, exploration and the satisfaction these two bring is the cherry on top and it’s the main reason why you should play this game."

You really need to play this game with a buddy. You get pretty lonely when you are completing missions by yourself. When other people help you out, the game is just alot more enjoyable. You race each other to the mission marker, you work together to take down cars and showing off your rides is always fun. When I was playing by myself I would pretty much go mission to mission and maybe do some exploring but with other people we would drag race on the salt flats, launch cars off jumps at the military base, harass the cops in NYC, race each other at the race track, drive up to Pikes Peak and down it as fast as possible and countless other activities that werent part of missions. I would only get this game if you know someone who will play with you.

I like it both single player and with others. But some of those missions are a real #&@*#$ and having people help you is a godsend!

kraideral3371d ago

Yeah, especially the 2 hour long races. Sure everything is way more fun with friends :D

Jimboms3372d ago

I really want this game, I just need someone to play it through with like the comment above suggests.

uth113372d ago

if you are on PSN, private message me and I'll add you. I play this game frequently

KiwiViper853372d ago

3.8 points overscored in my opinion. This game is nowhere near almost a 9.

That's a Forza Horizon 2 score right there.

kraideral3371d ago

It depends on what you look for in a racing game. If I was looking for insane graphics I would go with Forza, but if I want insane sense of freedom, then I'll always choose The Crew

Come'on; March and still getting "DC's good" reviews? No it wasn't; playing other games. Move on. Stop bringing up the game. It's over.

Naga3372d ago

Wrong game, homie. This review is about The Club, not DC.

KiwiViper853372d ago

Fail!!!!! Its The Crew, hahahahaha

Angerfist3372d ago

Just started it now. The World is almost The World is almost too big and the money System is a Bit stupid.

Its enjoyable but not 8.8 enjoyable.

cars could also look better but its the Test Drive Unlimited Engine so thats probably the Best they can do now.

but its also positive to have such an Open world that has a great Variety of locations

kraideral3371d ago

The money is stupid yes, but it didn't really bother me. The missions give different cars to drive all the time that break the "boringness" of driving the same car all the time. Plus the kits change things up very nicely

Wait. I don't get it. I reported on something that I recently noticed. I did mention in my article that I wouldn't have noticed if I hadn't gone to play The Division 2. That said, if this was nearly a week ago, I wouldn't know, as NO ONE REPORTED ON IT! Not IGN. Not Gamespot. Not Kotaku. No one.

You got people here complaining that there are any real gaming journalists and game journalism sucks, but when someone is acting, doing something to make something known to the public about what a company is doing. What do you do? You poke fun at it. What is it that people want? Do you want to complain for the sake of it? Or do you actually want people to do something to make those who aren't in the know aware of the shady stuff that's happening and to sound the alarm?

ravens5243d ago

It's the "oh well" setting in on digital users. They don't care they don't own their stuff for some odd reason. 🤷🏽.

FullmetalRoyale42d ago

Good for you! People sometimes just feel the need to show how little they actually have to say. Very respectful dressing down, btw, which is another thing we need more of.

I appreciate your article,
- "If this isn’t considered both a “WTF” moment and setting a dangerous precedent, I don’t know what else it would be"
- "it could also signal other publishers that removing games from our accounts would be okay"
- "Maybe those firmly against this digital future have a point after all"
- "This. Is. Fucked. Up."

As someone against an only-digital/streaming future for entertainment content (movies/TV shows/games/books), it feels like talking into a void about the points above on this website, or on Twitter, or with my friends, etc. People don't get it. I'm strongly contemplating whether this will be my last generation of PlayStation & Xbox consoles (I'm confident enough that Nintendo's next system will still support physical media and that their 1st-party games won't have online-required installation or usage restrictions).

He is one of the long running trolls of this site, he never says anything positive. Every single one of his posts are either incorrect or flat out stupid. Pay him no mind.

Thank you @shadowhaxor, we appreciate you.

Yet people will sit here and still say that digital is better 🙃

Welcome to the era where you no longer own your games.

gvrd001942d ago (Edited 42d ago )

I'm so done with Ubisoft, removing games one paid for is a new low...
Bye Ubisoft,
You've done f#c*ed it up !

Chocoburger42d ago

This was me 9 years ago, when I realized all they wanted to make were filler boring games that are packed with micro-trash-actions.

Snooze! Moving on from Ubi-junk!

vTuro2442d ago

I see they're trying their best to surpass Activision Blizzard for being the most hated gaming company. Keep at it, Ubisoft, I believe!
