How Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare Has Survived For A Year

Its coming up to a year since Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare came out, and people are still pouring hours into Popcap's third person online shooter. The question is, why are they still playing and how does the game support players who want to spend all of their time playing it.

Such a fun, relaxing game.
If you don't have it, I'd recommend buying it. It's also included with EA Access subscription.

Most fun I've had playing any shooter in 2014.

It's also some of the most fun I've had in any shooter ever...

The amount and level of fun I've had in PvZ:GW rivals the amount of fun I've had in any COD or Halo game, and also Goldeneye/Perfect Dark & Timesplitters as well.

This game is in the same Tier as those IP's.

It's just pure fun.

I'm hoping Splatoon can be something similar to this for the Wii U.

With FPS games as they are today, I find it refreshing to play one where I can actually see the other players and instantly distinguish whether they are friend or foe. None of this "OH it's a person what colour is the icon over their hea--- oh no wait it was a chimney" rubbish.

This, plus instantly knowing what class the enemy is, so as to know how to react to it, helps as well.

Makes me really appreciate the Awareness of surroundings you get with a 3rd person shooter.

It slightly opens up the view of your world your in....just enough to help you out in certain situations.

* Fun is fun....and whatever they did, they nailed the fun aspect of games.

* If EA was smart, they would make more games like this.

Im amazed by the comments im seeing. Glad im not the only one who loves this game. I do wish there was something of a SP mode. Its a great game. Good mechanics, good variety between classes with an unrealistic but fun art style.

It looks fun, and it plays well. Highly recommended.

Great game, one of the best games released last year. The initial price and then the way the DLC was handled is spot on, there's not many reason to not like this game.

Ment to agree not disagree . My favorite game this gen hands down

Volkama3372d ago

Speaking of initial price, I have the game 3 times.
1 with EA Access
1 because EA gave it away on the PS anniversary event
1 because the PC version costs next to nothing.

I haven't bought any DLC for any version, but I have no real complaints about the way it is implemented. If they had charged £50 for the game AND had that DLC model I'd sing a different tune <cough Evolve cough>

Probaly the best overall game this gen . I've put few hundred hours in it easy .

jocomat93372d ago (Edited 3372d ago )

it really seriously is this game needs more attention.

Great title. Love being a taco bandit almost as much as bring an ass bandit. Varied modes beyond bandit are just a joy.

Uh oh have you’ll upset so many people by calling Days Gone a zombie game or grouping it alongside other zombie games 😂

I thought both Dead Nation and How to Survive were great on PS4 too.
