Sega announces Stormrise RTS for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3

Sega announced today the development of Stormrise, an innovative RTS game for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Stormrise marks The Creative Assembly's first foray into developing a purpose built RTS title for console and is slated to ship in 2009.

considering its coming out in 2009, I wouldn't doubt the idea of trophy support. There was no mention of trophy or achievements in the article...where did you get the assumption of no trophy?

Achievements are mandatory. I was just being a butt though. I was trying to act like the queefy. He makes some extremely lame comment that has no basis of fact and is completely irrelevant to the article. I decided to see what it was like to be lame. It wasn't that fun. I guess for some people that have less of a life than me though, it make make that person happy.

Now you Flopstation3 owners are gonna be spolit for choice when it comes to rts games - what with this and Command n Conquer Red Alert3 coming in the fall - actually hang on a minute..............

None of these RTS games will matter. I say leave it to the king, Star Craft. People should wait a year before releasing an RTS the same year as SC II.

Starcraft was great to my childhoood.. and im sure starcraft 2 will be great but you cant just assume it will be the greatest RTS of all time! im excited about SC2 dont get me wrong but.... for some reason im alot more excited about games like Empire total war or Tom Clancy's End War!

I dont know how much competition Starcraft had when it came out but there are alot of RTS's that have me a whole lot more excited than SC2 like the ones mentioned above. Creative Assembly hasn't really disappointed with their total war series so I think this one wont be too shabby either.

I still play it to this day as it is extremely well balanced and i love how original each race are.

Moirror, i doubt it will come to consoles though.

I know what you mean.. I just think Star Craft is the king of RTS, the only RTS I have played more than SC is Command and Conquer.
