So What The Heck Is ScreamRide? - The Forgotten Xbox Exclusive | Dealspwn preview

Dealspwn: "So ScreamRide is out next month.

I know, I'd forgotten all about it too. Of all the Xbox One exclusives announced thus far, ScreamRide is certainly the most difficult to explain and definitely the most unlikely. Frontier Developments, the studio behind Kinectimals and Elite of all things, revealed this odd roller-coaster 'em up at E3 last year to a chorus of 'erms' and 'okay thens,' showing us a trailer of crazy rides and gravity-defying jumps before retreating into a near-total media blackout.

But now, mere weeks before launch, ScreamRide is suddenly back on our radar with a free Xbox One demo, which we've tested to destruction for your convenience and pleasure. And, if we're honest, to find out what the heck it actually is."

I've yet to meet a map/track builder I'd enjoy using with a console controller.

ScreamRide's approach is actually quite novel, as you can deform the track as you lay it - a bit like a pasta machine I guess. Still, though, I agree, the PC usually makes games like this more intuitive and precise, plus let's face it, ScreamRide is screaming out for Oculus Rift support.

Yeah, would be cool in VR no doubt. I'm with the author... seems like a wasted opportunity to use Kinect, which I actually like.

Roller ballin is OK, but building coasters is awesome! LOL I like the game a lot, can't wait to see what other features they have for coasters, like lighting along the tracks, night rides, etc...making a amusement park would be great I agree, but hopefully its part of an dlc content or something.

Quite a big sale but not entirely convinced all are decent deals. Glad to see the 360 gets a few more offers this week. I wish Screamride was on sale by itself!

Gears Ultimate Day 1 Edition? I can understand picking up day 1 physical editions at later dates, that were stuck in the retail channel for whatever reason. Late "day 1" digital sales make no sense at all though.

State of Decay on Xbone is great.

OldGuyStillGaming2946d ago

This is the 5th or 6th time they've had Battlefront on "sale" in the last few months
Still overpriced imo
