Diablo Defeated by Spam

Found on the Unofficial Diablo 3 Site Diii.net (also known as Diabloii.net to Diablo fans) have noticed something quite big going on inside the current home of the Lord of Terror; Diablo boards on Blizzard's Battle.net.

It appears that while the game has been shown to be very modern, using cool effects and being more practical than its predecessor, their infrastructure (Battle.net) is still running on the same software as in the "good old day", and what is presumed to be Diablo haters are spamming the boards with hundreds of thousands of posts.

Wish these people would get a life and move out of their mothers' basements.

Man, I can't believe how this can happen to Blizzard in this day and age! =P

Aren't they supposed to be the PINNACLE of technology and quality?

kalos5776d ago

Guess they need a moderator or two, can't they use some of that subscription revenue to hire some? :P

Leord5776d ago

Yeah, I wouldn't want to have the job to delete hundreds of thousands of comments, in what I suspect is a manual labour =P

I think its more then time that they start a project to update their forum software. The part I don't understand is how this works with the whole cd key thingy in place? Are there spammers buying big numbers of keys just to be able to spam the forums?

As a comment to people reporting the thread:

DON'T USE "OTHER" AS REPORT TYPE!
- Please? =)

The thing with "Other" that most people miss is that it's never possible for the contrib to fix the problem. "Other" should only me used when a stupid contrib is "fixing" problems while not making any changes... If it indeed was SPAM (the ham, which is named that, and referred in the picture) that was the problem, then "Bad Editing" is the correct report form.

I so wish that the contrib test was harder.....

Thanks for removing the report btw! =)

Cyberpunk and No Man's Sky have to be up there. We're lucky and cursed, equally, to have games that can be updated now. For folks old enough to remember the Sega/SNES into PS1 and even 2 eras, if a game came out that was half baked (*cough*Angel of Darkness*cough*) that was it, no redemption. At the same time, having the option for updates shouldn't be an excuse for half assing games.

I remember when the Nintendo Seal of Approval meant something.

All those games had to release without bugs.

Comebacks shouldnt be a thing in videogames. Just saying.
