Why would anyone spend real money on helix credits, even at a discount? I got the platinum in ACU without ever using a single helix credit, there's just no need.

because of time. some people just want to have access to things without having to grind for them. you can get everything in warframe through gameplay, but they still sell platinum for ridiculous amounts.

I understand that, but ACU doesn't require much of a grind. I just didn't buy anything until I could afford the really good stuff. And that didn't take all that long because I upgraded all the social clubs ASAP.
