Its been news for a while. But this is the first I've heard of it being locked at 30 so thats good.

Considering you need a very good pc rig to run Planetside at 60fps with the amount of player on screen at once and open world, I think locked 30fps for the PS4 is more than enough

Plus this is a beta, so feedback might get them to reduce elements for the final game to reach their initial target of 60fps for the PS4

Yeah 60fps seems to be a long shot in my opinion. Locked or stable 45fps seems like it would be the end game frame rate.

playing PS2 at 60 FPS is silking smooth
love it even at 45-50 is a blast i have a 3770 i7 with a gtx geforce 680 and it looks and runs awesome
but i really doubt it that they will get 60 FPS on the PS4
this game is really CPU intensive
as they stated already 30 FPS locked is good

No transfers between the platforms. They dont want unfair advantages right away.

Good i dont have a 1,999$ pc to play games at 1080p/60 - 120 fps so if the big difference is only 30 fps less I'm happy whit my 400 $ console

MAG was running at 30fps, I don't see anything wrong with that? As long it is stable. I have planetside 2 for pc and it's not even good with gtx 970. It's not even running at 60 fps with fx 8350, shame..I spent 800 bucks.
