gamrReview's Joseph Trotter: "Like realising that your blind date is Sarah Jessica Parker or Kevin Spacey when every other participant is Gwyneth Paltrow or Ryan Gosling, disappointing does not mean that something is necessarily bad (indeed it may be very good), just that it does not match the quality expected from an eager audience.
For gaming, much of this disappointment is self-inflicted. Publishers hype up expectations through grandiose claims and misleading trailers, only for this aggrandisement to ultimately be met by nonplussed gamers who feel that the product was mis-sold. At other times, it may just be that a game promised much but failed to deliver. A game that matches one person's expectations may massively disappointment another. Those listed below particularly disappointed the gamrReview staff in 2014."

Drive Club.
Watch Dogs Hands down. The promise and hype was insane and it really failed to deliver. It was supposed to be THE next gen poster child...
Assassins Creed Unity for me, i tried to give Ubisoft the benefit of the doubt but the issues were just too much, i traded it in, the game was beautiful but the stability kinda ruined the experience, especially after long playing sessions, the frame rate issues were bearable for a few minutes any longer and it starts to get worse, Yep, Assassins Creed Unity sadly, the game had potential and did a lot of things better than it's predecessors.
Call of duty hands down. First COD game I've ever returned after a few weeks. Couldn't put up with the same lag compensation for another year
Watch dogs for me, i can't believe i actually beat the game
