It's time we talk about Dragon Age: Inquisition's one severe problem

GotGame writes: Dragon Age: Inquisition suffers from one big problem and it's time we talk about it.

OmegaShen3419d ago

Its EA, pretty almost all games with EA on them have that problem.

Balsanoid3419d ago

My save file stopped loading after the latest patch. Around 20-25 hours lost on Nightmare difficulty. That's a severe enough problem already for me.

breakpad3419d ago (Edited 3419d ago )

@ OmegaShen agree ..i dont know why but not only EA,Ubisoft and Activision (and lot of other western companies) also make games which are filled with content that THEY speculate we gamers demand and like , without giving any substance and purpose for their bloated content ..with less words , the fail to understand what is appealing (is a well known characteristic of untalented teams)Also they dont try new ,odd and out of the box approaches to their games as the japanese game industry does resulting the majority of their new ideas (if they are well produced) to huge successes

pelida3419d ago

According to this site the problem is Inquisition is mistaking form for function? which means they don't like the meaningless side quest = an story problem

"people have already been calling Dragon Age: Inquisition out for not respecting their time and having a lot of bloated content that feels like fluff compared to the meatier, story missions."

KiwiViper853419d ago

I love side missions, I try and do all side missions available before advancing the story.

Silly Mammo3419d ago

Apparently this is the writers 1st RPG he's ever played, if he thinks Dragon Age is the only game that has tedious side quests. :-P

WildArmed3419d ago

Ah, yes.

DAI should have been linear as CoD and ends in 4 hours.

That's respecting my time, right?

kevnb3419d ago

well that was a waste of my time...

NovusTerminus3419d ago

The power system.

I was really getting into the story of the game, then suddenly I need to stop, because I need 30 power points just to be allowed to play the story, so I am now forced to go lay side missions.

I just want to see the main story, I'll do the side missions after that. Don't force me to go through the,!

Back-to-Back3418d ago (Edited 3418d ago )

Im in the same boat. When I was playing on Nightmare the game basically forces you to have to complete all the side mission so you will be at the right level. I like side mission, but when I am forced to do them its a problem. Side mission like the one in Assassins Creed are awesome after I beat the main story.

jts18913419d ago

Or...We could talk about the glitches. You know, the weird static lines that like to pop up during cut scenes, the horrendous number of pop-ins where textures, characters etc. appear from out of nowhere etc. It's got more problems than Unity did, yet somehow no one mentions it.

elbeasto863419d ago

Because it's a good game, unlike Unity.

Silly Mammo3419d ago

I've put in over 30 hrs on the PS4 and haven't had any of the problems you've mentioned.

WildArmed3419d ago

I have about 150 hours, but rarely do I experience any issues.

Sometimes you can't talk to NPCs, but a quick save and reload fixes it right away.

gangsta_red3419d ago

Are you playing on PS3/360?

Because those problems do not show up on my Xbox One version, but I have a friend who has had those issues but he's playing it on his 360.

Talgrath3419d ago

The only issues I've seen have been some occasional issues with interacting with objects, usually a reload fixes those. What system are you seeing these issues on?

Dragon Age: Inquisition Retro Review – A Nostalgic Leap Short Of Legendary

Dragon Age: Inquisition, developed by BioWare, is the third installment in the cherished Dragon Age series. It represents a major evolution from its predecessor, Dragon Age II, incorporating elements that were well-loved in the original Dragon Age: Origins but also introducing new features that stand on their own. While Inquisition improves upon Dragon Age II in many respects, it falls short of the exceptional standards set by Origins.

The quality of these free games has been awesome. Before anyone says they are not free I was already giving Amazon $6 a month for prime shipping and video this isn't why I pay for my subscription

Teflon02932d ago

Still technically paying for it, even if it wasn't your intent. They've been giving out games with Twitch prime, they just changed the name. It's the same sub as that was. If you weren't aware, great. But you're paying for it.

That being said, I don't personally care. For me as long as you're willing to pay that for 1 service and get more. I personally take it as free. Like prime video, music though the prime version is trash, and all the Twitch benefits are all free to me because I didn't care about those when I got it. Just comes with it.

Only noted because that's technically wrong as a defense to that argument, whether I'm on yourside with the initial statement lol

mkis007932d ago

It's free to anyone who has already been paying. IDK why people need to split hairs.

TinkerNation932d ago

How does Prime Gaming work? Do you keep the games, or is it only as long as you have Prime?

Germaximus932d ago

lol Nice distraction from how they're now charging people to increase viewership. It's "just an option." /wink lol
