Gamecyte writes: "After last week's two-hour tour of Burning Fight barely steamed my knuckles, I was hoping there might be some more satisfying SNK fisticuffs in my future. So I was more than happy to put this week's sole Virtual Console title, Fatal Fury 2, to the test.
Fatal Fury 2 certainly deserves credit as the birthplace of Mai Shiranui - fighting's favorite* foxy female ninja - but vintage T&A alone is hardly worth the $9 price of admission. As a fighter, does the venerable classic pull any weight in 2008?
To be blunt, not really."
Mrs Nesbitt from GamersFTW writes: "Video-games and their graphics are developing into movie-like sequences at an alarming rate. The visuals are so stunning these days that it actually beggars belief. However, there is one aspect of animation that has often been problematic and it’s a very obvious one that developers cannot avoid – breasts of female characters."
Oh good old boob physics, keeping us entertained since the beginning of time. I remember being slightly impresses by the ladies of Soul Calibur... and no list would be complete without Lara. Really fun article!
Ahh, jiggle physics. The best kind of physics. While not breast-related, my favourite jiggle physics are probably in Mount Your Friends. Fantastic wang waggles there. For equality.
Great article that I laughed out loud on for how ridiculous some of the gifs were. Oh video-games, what will you do next?
Bewbs! Haha funny article, Quiet just HAD to make an appearance, even the figurine!
Still, they've all got nothing on the man-sausage physics of 'Mount Your Friends' though! xD
It seems like SNK is gearing up for another Fatal Fury game which will be shown at Tokyo Game Show in September; teaser trailer leaked.
Weren't they working on a new King Of Fighters? Not that I'm complaining, we need more SNK titles.
Can you do a sequel to a pachinko machine? Probably. Fatal Fury Pachinko 2 inbound. Side note: This looks VERY close to the Street Fighter V art style. Maybe lend him and get the name back out there ahead of a new FF game coming next year?
Fatal Fury 2 is, overall, a focused fighter and a solid sequel that's more worth your investment of 900 Wii Points than its predecessor was last year. The problem that plagues it and dampens its appeal is that there are many more sequels in the series yet to come, most of which render this game just as obsolete as it renders the first Fatal Fury. If the nine bucks isn't that big of a deal to you, then absolutely download this edition and enjoy it. But if your Wii Shop budget's a little bit tighter, still consider holding on to that digital cash and waiting for the inevitable arrival of the next, better version -– Fatal Fury Special or Fatal Fury 3 will certainly show up in the not-too-distant future.
