4K is already becoming quite popular, even more so than 1080 was.
4k can wait imo until nxt gen, it will take the consumer 5yrs or so until 4k gets a 50% or more in consumers homes, took the consumer a while to upgrade to 1080p, remember people still having sdtv 5 yrs after hd came out.
My 58" 21.9 aspect ratio, 1080p 3dtv still looks great, I will wait until curved 4k oled tv to become affordable before I upgrade.
Hope to see new tech demos for project morpheus, upgrading my phone to xperia z4, hoping for 4k screen but don't think it's gonna happen.
