Wii U Games Line Up For 2015 Is Nothing Short of Spectacular

It's got the best library on the market, and it doesn't look like that will change in 2015 either.

Got a wii u for my son for christmas..I havent touched my ps4 since lol.. its a great console, but that mariokart is addictive..just a warning

SkippyPaccino3415d ago

Bought my Wii-u and it's become my Mario kart box... Ill be buying smash brothers today, but that only because it's on special and I need more games to play on it.

I would say you'll probably be like me and go back to your ps4 and come back once and a while to play some kart.

wonderfulmonkeyman3414d ago

Most of the games I've seen on PS4, that I actually want to play, have also hit either PS3 or PC, so everything else is pretty much on Wii U for me.

SkippyPaccino3414d ago

@wonderful

I've bought a douzen games for ps4 plus all the ps+ freebies... They're not all winners but they kept me entertained.

Bought my Wii-u when my young kids liked playing it at toys r us back in September. Came with Mario 3d world and Nintendo land. I also bought Mario kart and that's pretty much all I play on it. Purchased smash today on Amazon and I'll wait and see if I'll like it. I'm interested in buying windwaker, but hate paying full price for remakes... Thats what bugs me about the eshop. They never have good sales. Every Nintendo game that comes out stays full price for years. That's why I'm surprised smash was 20$ off.

Ps:I did not have thumb you down and people on Nintendo articles are very sensitive to Nintendo related topics. I bought a Wii-U and I'm allowed to say that nothing interest me on it. I'm not going to trade it in and it will stay in my collection for a long time.

I picked up Darksiders 2 ($8 for an 85 rated AAA game - who wouldn't), and I'd highly recommend Deus Ex Directors Cut if Dad wants an FPS type game. Also for Dad - Bayonetta 2 (two great games as it includes Bayonetta 1)

MarioKart though is the best - you can pick it up and put it down fast.

Our other faves were Zelda WW - my 8 yr old daughter would sit VERY happily and watch me play and help solve, and SuperMario 3d.

Better buy a USB hard drive like I did ;)

Xenoblade & Legend of Zelda are two that really excite me.

There are a few others as well that I can't wait to play, but those two have me really excited.

Only thing that stinks is the wait is going to seem like forever, seeing as these will most likely release in the 3rd/4th quarter of 2015.

* I'm actually really excited to see what Nintendo announces in the next Regular Direct & also at E32015.

edit: Forgot about starfox & Yoshi's wolly world as well.

Should be a solid year, & a new 3D Mario similar to Mario 64 would be the most epic announcement I think they could make.....for me personally.

Next year if nothing important is delayed it will be a year as good if not better than 2011.

Jaqen_Hghar3415d ago

Sadly a man only really has interest for zelda next year on WiiU. Already played through and sold DK, SM3DW, WW HD, and Rayman legends. Also obviously kept smash and mario kart for when people are over but their software has been lagging without any third party and with last of us, lbp3, infamous and first light, and all the awesome plus games ps4 has been getting way more exclusive use even. With the order and uncharted next year it looks to have the competition beat again. Wiiu is still a great secondary console and a man will use it for years for those 2 games (usually sell zelda games theyre not very replay able) and will remember all the fun he had with the others he mentioned as well as look forward to zelda. PS4 and wiiu, the only 2 consoles worth owning this gen, make a killer combo

I agree. I just picked up a Wii U. To be honest, I couldn't decide if I wanted to plop down the money for it or not.
I've not nailed down how I feel about it yet. I've only played a few levels of Super Mario 3D World & some of the Metroid themed bit in Nintendo Land. What I've played was pretty fun so that has me optimistic that I will like more games on the system. I've owned the PS4 since launch & it's my go-to/primary game machine & the Wii U so far looks to be some fun, on the side gaming with a different flavor.

Jaqen_Hghar3415d ago

It definitely Has strength where the ps4 is weakest and that is in local multiplayer be it co-op or vs. there have been 3 HUGE releases that stress that family or friends in the same room experience (Mario 3d, smash, and kart) vs 1 for ps4 (lbp3)

MAULxx3415d ago (Edited 3415d ago )

@ Jaqen_Hghar - I don't play racing games or fighting games except for when I attempt to play Injustice because I like DC Comics & it was free on PS+. I would have to throw Diablo 3 in there for PS4 couch co-op games. I know what your saying though. Nintendo probably does have couch co-op games. Probably a lot more than PS4. I haven't owned a Wii U long enough to know.

kwandar3414d ago

I'm not into racing games either but ... MarioKart is something else. Seriously fun, and you can pick it up or put it down so you don't have to spend serious time on it.

kwandar3414d ago

To your "only really has interest for Zelda next year" I'd simply respond with Xenoblade and Splatoon

OtakuDJK1NG-Rory3415d ago

long time ago by Miyamoto but nothing was shown yet.
Both 2D and 3D is possibly coming.

AJBACK2FRAG3415d ago

Well the spaceship the Drake in Pikmin 3 looks almost exactly like a Metroid.

I mean that was sort of obvious.
There was literally nothing on this franchise, then they ported Maiden of Black Water likely because it was the easier one to translate to modern devices being a Wii U title and all. And now we are getting a remaster of the 4th title. So it stands to reason that Maiden of Black Water was successful enough to start the whole process.

A remaster of the Fatal Frame 2 remake that was on Wii would be very welcome as well. That game is great. Scared the crap out of me the first time I played it as well lol.
