Russian PSN Cheaper Than US & UK PSN

I'm sure most of you know about the financial situation in Russia, where the Ruble has dropped quite low, which has resulted in games on the Russian PS Store being quite a bit cheaper than they are in North America or UK.

This might not be of interest to everyone, but some people looking to save a bit of money it should be interesting :)

So not tested if region locked!

Waiting for a gamer to do the real work for you no doubt:(

nX3432d ago

As far as I know there are no region locks but you'd regret this anyway as you'll only get russian games. If you're lucky you might get english subtitles but I wouldn't count on it.

This is hardly killer savings, you only end up saving like $10. So thats not really a killer deal.

In a way i agree with you, i should have tested the region lock thing, but as PSN works different than valve, and because Russian PSN is part of the EU PSN network, i assumed that it would work.

$10 might not seem a lot for someone living at home with their parents, but its quite a lot for the likes of students or families.

"PSN network"
Who approVed this blog post as 'news'? It doesn't even give examples so this could be a lie for all we know.

GregoryRasputin3432d ago

O.o didn't you read the article, there are loads of examples, it even shows that the biggest saving you could get is if you are from the UK

SouthClaw3432d ago

I am from UK but to save money my PSN account is American. It is a whole lot cheaper than UK PSN. The subscription and digital games are so much cheaper and there are no problems with anything. I'd recommend it to anyone.

sfex3best3432d ago

But amazon doesn't sell Russian psn cards so how exactly would you buy from the Russian store?

GregoryRasputin3432d ago

Thanks for approving the article :)
One note that I forgot to mention is that some games will be Russian language only.

More interested in money than giving fans what they want. Such a shame

CrimsonWing6921d ago

With the amount of money they generated, I just don’t understand the scrubbing of this. It would’ve been fantastic for fans.

Profchaos21d ago

I really want to know who drove the decision to focus on multiplayer was it Rockstar or take two.

Because when online started taking off many of the studio leads began having falling outs and leading including a founder

Demetrius21d ago

Ikr mfs that greedy it's ridiculous

andy8521d ago

This makes me sad. Trevor was one of my favourite characters in gaming

One of the reason I believe once gta 6 release, most of us thoroughly play it, enjoy the world they crafted then after that no offline support, no dlc at all
