Dragon Age: Inquisition is a triumph of a fantasy RPG that shouldn't be missed by any gamer remotely interested in the genre.

I own this game and honestly I rate it 7, no more.

I know I am probably the only one out there to think that (as I see 90 to 95 score almost everywhere), but I don't think this was anything special...
It is very good under some aspects, like the feeling with the characters (EA never disappoint with that) but very weak in other things...I don't like the enemies, the combat is weak, the story is so-so, and some maps are simply empty, a giant pile of nothing. I mean, the desert? How boring was that?? Sometimes, while playing (unlike Skyrim) it feels like roaming a MMORPG map, with no users.

This game just pass to be super epic in some parts, like a 95/100 game (Heaven Siege for example) to an incredibly low gaming experience..."go there, kill some random spawn, gather three flowers, close the green gate number 19333, go away...", repeat again and again, until an interesting story quest shows up.

Meh....seeing this game rated at least "90" everywhere makes me think that a random Mass Effect now deserve to be re-rated 200, because it's more than 2 times a better game.

I still have hopes for the new The Witcher.

EvilWay3450d ago

Well I agree with some f your points, it is still one of the best games of this year. It is leaps and bounds better than the other crap games we have gotten this year

(Destiny,Watch Dogs, Titanfall) I did enjoy Watch Dogs and Titanfall but they were lacking many things

I hope the Witcher lives up to the hype but unfortunately I don't think it will

Dewitt3450d ago (Edited 3450d ago )

Put well over 100 hours into it and still have not beat it. The companions and relationships are miles better than the other two. I also really like the story, that kind of epic Mass Effect scale that you are doing something way big than yourself.

kaiserfranz3450d ago

I heavily disagree. This is easily on par with the first Mass Effect and Dragon Age: Origins.

Haven't heard Mass Effect 2/£ and Dragon Age II, though.

LightDiego3450d ago

Sorry, but Dragon Age: Origins and Inquisition are way better than any The Witcher game, let's see if this will change in the third game.
And i'm loving the game.

Alexious3450d ago

I'll have to agree with this, despite being super hyped for The Witcher 3.

Gonna get this one next week! Just cleared my backlog for it

MSBAUSTX3450d ago

I want this game really bad but I am waiting for it to drop to $40 or lower closer to Christmas. I have spent way too much money another games lately to drop another $60 right now.

SoulMikeY3450d ago

It was just $40 for a whole week on Wal-Mart.com, and Target (in-store) price matches. I got it thurs. and have put in 35 hours so far. It's dope.

Blackwall and Iron Bull are the coolest to me. Cannot stand Sera though.

ShowanW, you can't rate .01% of a game. my friend has put in 110 hours and is still waiting to give a rating.

ccgr3451d ago

Glad it's better than the previous one

ShowanW3450d ago

I've got about 3-4hrs into DA so far, and I'm in love with it.

I picked up the Xbox One version (for voice controls)

Controls have definitely been improved quite a bit for consoles.

From what I played so far, I rate the game 8/10.

NuggetsOfGod3450d ago (Edited 3450d ago )

This is my first DA game.

Im I the only one thinks the game is kinda hard? Lol

I like it and it looks pretty but I have died alot.

Or I suk at the game.

ShowanW3450d ago

It's an Action RPG... Just don't play it like an action game.

Take advantage of strategies..let ur crew play to they're strengths. Let range guys/gals fight from distance. Mages use fire, freezing, healing, etc..

The tactical/layout pause screen is ur friend. Use it. Even if just to see the environment around u.

Don't play it like UnCharted, or God of War.

You will be fine.

Eonjay3450d ago

Man this game has been showered with praise. I am scouring Amazon for a deal. Although, at this rate, it seems to be every bit worth the $60 asking price... and I definitely want to buy new to support Bioware.

shammgod3450d ago

man, sorry to hear...you missed out. It was $40 a little over a week ago on amazon.

Hope you find a deal, its a great game.

kaiserfranz3450d ago

It's well worth it. If you have a PC you can get it for about $30!

Dragon Age: Inquisition Retro Review – A Nostalgic Leap Short Of Legendary

Dragon Age: Inquisition, developed by BioWare, is the third installment in the cherished Dragon Age series. It represents a major evolution from its predecessor, Dragon Age II, incorporating elements that were well-loved in the original Dragon Age: Origins but also introducing new features that stand on their own. While Inquisition improves upon Dragon Age II in many respects, it falls short of the exceptional standards set by Origins.

The quality of these free games has been awesome. Before anyone says they are not free I was already giving Amazon $6 a month for prime shipping and video this isn't why I pay for my subscription

Teflon02940d ago

Still technically paying for it, even if it wasn't your intent. They've been giving out games with Twitch prime, they just changed the name. It's the same sub as that was. If you weren't aware, great. But you're paying for it.

That being said, I don't personally care. For me as long as you're willing to pay that for 1 service and get more. I personally take it as free. Like prime video, music though the prime version is trash, and all the Twitch benefits are all free to me because I didn't care about those when I got it. Just comes with it.

Only noted because that's technically wrong as a defense to that argument, whether I'm on yourside with the initial statement lol

mkis007940d ago

It's free to anyone who has already been paying. IDK why people need to split hairs.

TinkerNation940d ago

How does Prime Gaming work? Do you keep the games, or is it only as long as you have Prime?

Germaximus940d ago

lol Nice distraction from how they're now charging people to increase viewership. It's "just an option." /wink lol
