Has the XDK update's significance been over played?

Well the update only gave Xbox devs 10% more GPU power to use which is nice but not a whole lot. I do think the update is often over played.

It really doesn't. You're definitely overplaying the value of a software upgrade on old hardware.

X1 just like PS4 and obviously PC is fully capable with dealing with heavy update. Simultaneous along side PC.

Last gen can't handle all that quick and heavy updating like that to stay on par with current gen

Also last gen could run the very the base of the game or maybe an earlier versions of Warframe.

As far as X1 goes. Sure its minimal to these guys this game is content rich heavy more than anything else with quick updates. Performance wise the X1 is fine.

Sounds like they will benefit from dx12 more then a GPU increase

Sounds about right, as the gains probably came from the reserve previously kept for kinect, and is now available to the developers for use.

On a technical level, warframe is crap. I'm not surprised those guys couldn't take advantage of the XDK.

The constant frame drops when doing 20+ minute survivals were crazy... and that was on PS4. Great game none the less in my opinion, just wish I could transfer my profile over to X1

Destiny benefited from increased res, while Sunset Overdrive got better effects and enemies. I guess the 10% GPU unlock only benefited games that actual used it.
