Destructoid writes: "The game looks to be a delicious shmup experience, combining the same style of mecha musume character design found in games like Triggerheart Exelica with gameplay and level design reminiscent of Konami's hilarious (and hard) classic cute-em-up, Parodius. Why would that make me sad, you ask? Well, it's slated for release on Xbox 360 in Japan this September, and Konami has yet to breathe a word of it ever coming out anywhere else.
That sucks especially hard when you hear that Hori is releasing a sexy new arcade stick, designed specifically for use with Otomedius. Harder still? The thing has a goddamn touch screen on it, just like the original arcade version. I want one. We all want one. Purchase of this beauty will also score you a bundled-in copy of the 360 game itself, as well as six character badges, whatever the hell that means."
GameStop has listed Otomedius Excellent as being released in September 2010. I have contacted Konami and they have denied the release date. Silicon Era and Hardcoregaming 101 has reported it.
Otomedius Gorgeous!, Konami's cleavage-heavy entry in the Gradius spin-off series, gets something off its chest with new downloadable content.
The Xbox 360 port of the arcade original features three-player coop, the ability to upload and download replay data via Xbox LIVE, and a versus mode that lets the Otomedius girls take on bosses from previous Konami games. It also features lots of boobs.
Above is new character, Poinny, yours for 400 Microsoft Points. According to the character's bio, she has a "complex". Looking at her fellow Otomedius pilot, including new DLC character Esmeralda, it's not hard to see why.
Not everyone can have enormous breasts, you know. Not even video game characters, especially when they're ambiguous she-boys. That's just how it is.
Since the appearance of downloadable cotent (DLC) in this gen, a 100%, fully finished game is becoming a thing of the past. This is no exception in the land of the rising sun. "Hand of Win" takes a look at top 5 of the most DLC-heavy games in Japan.
nothing will.
Looks a bit too cutsy for me but Im sure a lot of 360 owners out here will pat through the nose ta import it.
Wonder if it will stay a 360 exclusive if it does I'd love to know what the deal was worth.
