The Official Raptr Blog has published another update on the most played PC games of October and you might be a little surprised at the results.
Blizzard Entertainment has announced the opening of beta registrations for “World of Warcraft: The War Within,” inviting players to explore new subterranean worlds beneath Azeroth.
TNS: "A League of Legends game mode, Arena, will return with some major changes that may breathe some life for a stagnant game."
ESTNN writes: "Hwei, LeBlanc and Ryze stand above the rest as the strongest players in the League of Legends 14.8 mid-lane due to substantial buffs in their scaling, base damage and crowd control (CC) respectively."
What? ESO and Wildstar is not even on the list?
Archeage will "Never" be on that list again. October was the second month of release. Look where we are only a few weeks on.
I actually find it surprising that SWTOR is so high. I base that purely on the fact that you have to dig pretty deep into Twitch before you can find SWTOR on their list of games and there are very few viewers and streamers at any given time. This may be the case because of the nature of MMO's, but I still would have thought that SWTOR would be more popular among streamers/viewers if it was, in fact, the 12th most popular PC game. I realize that a large number of twitch feeds are streaming console games, but even still I would expected, say, Minecraft to be well above SWTOR on this list.
Yaaay for FIFA!! Now come on EA, lets get the other sports franchises on here. NHL and UFC come to mind.
CoD #1 on consoles & LoL #1 on PCs. Casuals always win
