I'm not sure how i feel about that. I mean most of his movies scripts were sort of dark or sad. Hopefully he nails Drakes humorous personality.

I have a feeling this final Uncharted game (least by Naughty Dog) will have a more darker tone to it. Not as dark as last of us, but more so than any of the previous uc games. Of course I assume they'll keep the humor in as well, but nate looked old, probably has a lot more to lose

Horrible choice, all he's mostly done has been war stories

Zero Dark Thirty - 2012
The Hurt Locker - 2009
In the Valley of Elah - 2007

Oh and look at his recent story

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare

Come on...

I see this as a good thing. The man knows how to craft a good dramatic story. It's probably a little devoid of humor and perhaps more intense than an Uncharted theme should feel, but he's a talented writer and can bring a plot to this movie that will make it exciting and interesting to a wide audience. The thing that's important to keep in mind is that this kind of scriptwriting in Hollywood often isn't a singular process. They don't just have one guy write a screenplay and then they shoot it exactly as is. Often it will go to committee with producers and the director and often even the big stars acting in the project (some stars get a lot of creative input, if you're curious do some research on Russell Crowe and the script modification process that went on during the production of the Academy Award winning film GLADIATOR). This guy comes in and puts the plot to paper, then it goes to committee, and they'll probably hire people to rewrite it, and add in the humor and make the theme fit what the producers and director are going for. I'm sure it'll work out in the end, and I'm about as certain as can be that this guy won't be the only credited writer on this script by the time all is said and done.

The best games of their generation too. Its incredible how great most if not all of playstations games are. Whether you like the stories or not you cant deny the quality of each title.
