ZTGD | Dragon Age: Inquisition (PS4) Review

Drew Leachman writes: Let me just say, I absolutely love Dragon Age. I fell in love with its world and characters a long time ago, and when first seeing Dragon Age: Inquisition in trailers, I was so excited to get my hands on the game. The series has always had a robust combat system mixed with a rich story set in high fantasy. Things in Origins were epic in scale while events that took place in Dragon Age II may have been more drawn out, but ultimately started and set up an even bigger threat to the world of Thedas. Finally, in Inquisition, we get to see what has and will transpire. The wait is finally over, and I for one am highly impressed.

Why is it GOTY contender? because some random guy gave it a perfect score?

You people act like those reviewers are some kind of gurus of the gaming Realm or something... Its lame and stupid.

Im not saying this game is bad. But stop making those reviewers sound like they know better than you.

Here's a cookie... & some milk. Calm down.

I agree that it's a little premature to know if this is a GOTY contender. But from what I have seen so far I think it is surely in the realm of possibility. Looking forward to seeing more of this game. I really think review scores are of little value. I prefer to to watch gameplay video, streamer play, and seek opinions of friends who have played. IMO many pre-release reviews are more marketing efforts than objective reviews. That being said I did pre-order at store last night but just to ensure I have a copy if I want it. But I will make a decision on actual purchase after seeing / hearing more. I am hopeful for a quality game though.

@ka7be

Why do you post this nonsense everytime reviews come out for games? If someone wants to listen to reviews who are you to tell them theyre wrong?

@noctis_lumia Why does anyone have to 'shut it'? I think it'll be a great game too but feel no need to silence skeptics.

@Ka7be You must be one of those people who don't play rpg games. You haven't probably finished any of these games. elder scrolls games ,witcher 1 or 2,previous dragon age games, souls games. Just my Guess because if you liked rpg games you wouldn't be doubting that this could be the GOTY. What great games has there come out this year ? Nothing that is really good. Destiny turned out to be let down, Last of us already came out before this year, GTA 5 came out before this year, Far cry 4 is the only game that I see could beat dragon age to become GOTY but I doubt it is going to be that great.

LightDiego3485d ago

A lot of great scores, not just from this site, looks like it's a GOTY contender indeed.

Got to say Alien Isolation is my game of the year so far.

Made me go back and watch the movies.

Alien was great.
Aliens was ok.
Aliens 3 was very bad.
Aliens Resurrection I really enjoyed my 2 pounds of crab legs from red lobster.

I'm so glad its getting amazing scores. This was my most anticipated game of 2014 and it seems I won't be dissapointed :D

Gr1mmyshadows3485d ago

Yup. I'm glad I preordered this 2 month back. Dragon Age had yet to disappoint me and this will be a super time sink next week. Thank you Bioware

Dragon Age: Inquisition Retro Review – A Nostalgic Leap Short Of Legendary

Dragon Age: Inquisition, developed by BioWare, is the third installment in the cherished Dragon Age series. It represents a major evolution from its predecessor, Dragon Age II, incorporating elements that were well-loved in the original Dragon Age: Origins but also introducing new features that stand on their own. While Inquisition improves upon Dragon Age II in many respects, it falls short of the exceptional standards set by Origins.

The quality of these free games has been awesome. Before anyone says they are not free I was already giving Amazon $6 a month for prime shipping and video this isn't why I pay for my subscription

Teflon02941d ago

Still technically paying for it, even if it wasn't your intent. They've been giving out games with Twitch prime, they just changed the name. It's the same sub as that was. If you weren't aware, great. But you're paying for it.

That being said, I don't personally care. For me as long as you're willing to pay that for 1 service and get more. I personally take it as free. Like prime video, music though the prime version is trash, and all the Twitch benefits are all free to me because I didn't care about those when I got it. Just comes with it.

Only noted because that's technically wrong as a defense to that argument, whether I'm on yourside with the initial statement lol

mkis007940d ago

It's free to anyone who has already been paying. IDK why people need to split hairs.

TinkerNation941d ago

How does Prime Gaming work? Do you keep the games, or is it only as long as you have Prime?

Germaximus941d ago

lol Nice distraction from how they're now charging people to increase viewership. It's "just an option." /wink lol
