Check Out Dead or Alive 5′s Sexy Graphics on PS4 and an Inside Look at Koei’s Booth at MCM London

Dead or Alive 5: Last Round will hit western PS4 and Xbox One units (on top of PS3 and Xbox 360) on February 17th and February 20th respectively in North America and Europe, and today you get another glimpse on the PS4 version and an inside look at Koei Tecmo’s booth, which came brimming with merchandise for Dead or Alive 5 and quite a few more games published by the house of Musou.

I know other people are kind of fed-up with remakes and remasters, but I kind of think it's cool that "the best of the best" are coming to these new consoles while they work on new IPs, etc.

If the consoles were backwards compatible then the best of the best and everything else would already be on the new consoles. But there not because money.

I'm not composing about better graphics and frames rates with these remasters at all. It's just a better experience overall, so I'm all for it. I got DOA5 on launch day and enjoyed it, but never got any dlc or DOA5 Ultimate, so this new gen version of DOA 5 for $40 with the stuff I never bought and better visuals is something I endorse.

Actually the lack of backwards compatibility wouldn't make a difference. This game is also coming out on Ps3 and 360. Keep in mind that they already have 2 versions DOA5 and Ultimate. They probably would have made this even if the new consoles had BC.

Fighting games were great when we still had arcades, or in the dorm when 10 people could sit around and talk trash, but not so much when you are 40.

I went off them a long time back, either had my fill of them or just went off them and found them boring.

I remember when i was into the first Tekken though and found an arcade machine that had Tekken 2 over in Spain in the hotel, it was pretty fun playing for the first time. I'll always remember a scottish boy watching me playing and saying that the characters sounds of getting hurt sounded like they were having sex.

But yeah arcade machines used to be pretty popular until the N64/Dreamcast/PS2 came along and then IMO popularity just dropped since you got almost the same or better experience at home.

SF4 and MK9 brought me back to fighting games and i'll wait off on Mortal Kombat X til I'm certain I'll play it for a while.
It's becoming harder to find friends to play local co-op..dont care much for online, lol

i actually traded in my DOA 5 for PS3 & reserved the PS4 version... I know its not a very big difference in visuals or anything but if im going to own DOA 5, i will own the best version possible on my console.. I will be pretty pissed off if its $60 but ima still get it. Its a great fighting game & bouncing tits in full 1080p is a plus imo.. I never got ultimate nor downloaded any dlc so some of it will be new to me.. I doubt its graphics will differ very much but it will get me playing it again & i love the DS4 so ima upgrade

i bought doa5 on launch day, the collectors, bought some dlc, then bought doa5 ultimate and cosome dlc. I am glad they made this though, just wish i didn't buy both of them on the previous gen. Although it is nice the dlc will transfer over, so i heard.

1080P PS4 , and there will be a Free TO play version on next gen is pretty fantastic since it got over 2 million downloads on PS3 alone..

Wow, this remake looks awesome. Graphics have improved and it looks like they stuck with their roots on the fighting style. I remember bringing this game to day care once because I thought the fighting style of Dead or Alive was fun and unique... As you can imagine, all the boys thanked me... the teachers not so much, once they realized what we were playing. And yes, I got in trouble.. couldn't play video games for a week :/ lol. Between this and Batman coming out later it looks like I'm going to have to start a PS4 fund, I can't keep up with video game prices these days but it looks like they're worth every penny :p
