WWE 2K15 Last Gen Info: No Gameplay Improvements, Several Features Removed, more bad news

Early copies of the game reveal that PS3 & Xbox 360 versions of the game are the exact same as WWE 2K14 - from the Gameplay to even the Menus interface - with no improvements. Except... features were removed: No Create-A-Finisher, No Story Designer, No Custom Music, No Replay on the pause menu. No Shield in Superstar Heads.

I won't buy a new WWE wrestling game before they finally switch the developer. Miss the 32 bit era when we had lots of different approaches to port pro-wrestling to video games. Some better some worse but at least we had variation and not every year the same game with some updates.

And goddamn..I wish the WWE had a big competition again.

Yeah, I agree.

I used to play a ton of wrestling games during the 32-bit era because we had things like Powermove Pro-Wrestling, and WCW vs the World (one of my favorites) and Acclaim's WWF Raw and WWF Attitude. We also had the Fire Pro series on the Saturn and PSX. Not to mention the WCW games from EA.

There was a huge variety back then due to competition and a lot of developers trying something new with the genre.

I'm not surprised. They did the same thing with the ps2 games once they truly started focusing on the ps3/360.

2K should focus on the current generation.

Are Wrestling Games Getting Worse?

Some of you may know that the latest instalment in the WWE gaming franchise 2K20 was released late last year to generally poor reviews. Some of this was based on graphical issues, but mostly it was due to the many glitches and bugs found – many of which are hilarious to witness.

Fire Pro needs more love. The last PS4 title gets regular playtime from me.

I hear that there are financial troubles at the studio, but I'm hopeful for a Switch port one of these days.

Anyone remember Giant Gram Wrestling on the Dreamcast .....

Rambokind1578d ago

Ah hell yes! That was loads of fun.

Acecalibur1578d ago

Fire Pro just gets better. Buy it.

micdagoat191578d ago

I have Fire Pro for PS4 and PC but it seems more of like a Sim creator rather than people actually playing out matches. I still dont like anything as much as the N64 games

Golden Era of wrestling games in the Golden Era of wrestling. I've been contemplating going back and getting a N64 and getting those classic's
WWF Wrestlemania 2000
WWF No Mercy
WCW vs. nWo Revenge

micdagoat191574d ago

Yeah its the only wrestling games I still play consistently for fun.

TheTony3161578d ago

Yes. The last great wrestling game was svr 2006.

addictedtochaos1578d ago

Yes, the WWE ones at least. The last good one was 2K14 and the last great one was Here Comes the Pain.

Looking back to 2014 and WWE 2K15

James writes - "The good faith of wrestling fans is diminishing rapidly and five years after the mediocrity found in WWE 2K15, it doesn’t seem like 2K have learnt anything. The time for change is now."

Piss on these games, I have more hope of AEW putting out a quality produced game. This product will be better after Vince McMahon is dead, even if his dufus son-in-law takes over.

That game was trash when it released but in comparison to 2020 it’s a godsend.
