Allisa James from DualShockers reviews Bayonetta 2 for Wii U, developed by Platinum Games and published by Nintendo.
Does the sultry witch still have her magic touch? You can look (but don't touch) this review to find out.
Bayonetta's character design and abilities have changed a lot since the series debuted in 2009, with new costumes and dark arts in every title.
Many fans have been expressing their disappointment with Bayonetta 3. Here's why the recently released game is a clear step down from Bayonetta 2.
I thought they focused on big kaiju like fights which felt gimmicky and thy brought this new character in to try and get away from the leading star
*Spoilers*
I mean they pretty much killed 3 big characters. They killed Jeanne, Luka and Bayonetta herself and it's not the fact they died it's how they died, we've seen Jeanne and Bayonetta survive countless things yet they go out by the lamest ways possible.
Nintendo has updated Bayonetta 2 to version 1.2.0 and they have also shared the patch notes for this update on the Nintendo Switch.
Another ten! More and more it's looking like GOTY.
Well damn. Reviews have showered this game with praise now I hope gamers reward the game with sales.
Oh look ANOTHER pefect score. Funny how the most underrated console has all the best games huh? LOL
I CAN'T WAIT!
For me this fully justifies a WiiU purchase. You get the first incredible game included too which is the greatest bonus. Simply the best game of it's type as anyone that has played it long enough to know will tell you. Wasn't about to get a WiiU until Zelda released but this makes it just too hard to resist
The first thing you realize with Bayonetta is that everything you first thought about it is wrong. Initially hated my time on it and almost sold it after about a couple of hours. Just seemed like totally over the top nonsense and a game that frankly didn't do anything special. Couldn't have been more wrong and I'm just glad kept with it. Not especially keen on this genre but Bayonetta is like freedom and fun in a way you won't have experienced. Again though it's not something you'll pick up on straight away until perhaps your second play through, by which point if you have, then you won't want to stop. Bayonetta's don't happen in this industry very often and I'm just glad I didn't go by my first woeful impressions
