Gaming Trend Editor Jay Malone got hands-on time with the much-anticipated sandbox title, Far Cry 4. Here's a nibble from his preview: "As for the much-lauded gameplay in the Far Cry series, it returns in full force for Far Cry 4. It is clear Ubisoft Montreal recognized the successes of Far Cry 3 and brought them directly over into Far Cry 4, including the healing, climbing, crafting, and upgrade systems; most of all, though, playing the game is simply fun. Part of that fun is a testament to the controls, which provide little to no frustration and work effortlessly as an instrument to propel the game forward."
Far Cry debuted on March 23, 2004, meaning that next week, it will have been 20 years since Jack Carver first washed up on the shore of a tropical paradise teeming with hostile mercenaries.
I'd love a far cry pack with the original PC game (not the half assed port on ps360) instincts, predator even a port of far cry 2 to modern consoles back when these games had their own identity and weren't far cry 3 cut and pastel
India is a culturally rich and beautiful land which is a perfect setting for a video game. Here are some of the best games set in India.
Since the first game was released in 2004, Far Cry has set the standard on fantastic open-world shooters.
I would put 5 above 6 but agree with the other ratings. Though 6 has more refined gameplay compared to 5 it's lack of a compelling story really does hurt it imo but if you are a gameplay fiend and don't really care about story it makes sense.
I disagree about Far Cry 3's ending, I thought it was one of the best endings ever, it was unrealistic but it made me stop and think. I actually sat there in awe and watched the credits thinking about what i had just done. I can't think of many games that have done that.
In the end the island was the real monster, everyone on it were just pawns, including yourself. That really stuck with me.
