'PvZ: Garden Warfare’ Patch Bumps Up Xbox One Resolution, Adds Taco Fights

INQ: PopCap Games keeps providing amazing levels of post-launch support Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare. A free update was delivered to the Playstation and Xbox consoles plus the PC today that adds the new Taco Bandits game mode, new playable characters and balances out a number of existing characters too. It also comes with a resolution increase for the Xbox One and a higher level cap for all characters.

But it's still not 1080P 60fps. so the SDK didn't make it 1080P 60fps. So it still inferior To the PS4 version. SDK has not helped the x1 version's of shadow of Mordor , PES soccer, projects cars or dying light. All sub full HD on x1 . The two games that are in 1080P because of SDK were last gen CrossOver Games Diablo 3 and Destiny. Diablo 3 on PS4 is locked 1080P 60fps on x1 frame rates drops to 50fps. Destiny also preform better on PS4 better frames rates and sharper .

The 1080p parity issue still exists.

Let's not divert things away from the reality of the situation towards what "haters" said, but perhaps recognise that this game and MOST other games that people like yourself use as examples as why the SDK update is "proving haters wrong" are cross-gen or indie games. Either undemanding games, last-gen ports, or games that are held back by older hardware.

So before pinning this on the "haters", wait until the larger, more complex games that are made to the specification of next-gen hardware come out.

The Witcher 3 is the strongest example of such, and that is just where it starts.
