GF writes: Final Fantasy has many hallmarks: random encounters, mini-games, enormous swords, silly hair, chocobos, Cid, moogles, summons, magic spells and memorable villains combine to create this video game behemoth. But what about the bosses? With a series which now has several dozen main titles and spin-offs, there are many bosses to think about when considering the best bosses in the series. For me though, I wanted to think about the most memorable, the most interesting, the ones with the most depth, and ones which inspire the player.
Gary Green said: We’re finding ourselves in a similar position with the Pixel Remaster edition of Final Fantasy IV as we were with Final Fantasy III since, once again, we’ve received a slightly upscaled, more vibrant port of the original game when there’s already an expanded 3D remake available. As such, we’re playing a game which, even after its long-awaited release, still lives very much in the shadow of its remake.
If only they didn't screw ps4 owners over with a physical release. I'd have ran through this in a heartbeat.
The first one I played, it was the one that made me fall in love with JRPGs and is still my favorite to this day. A masterpiece
Clive actor Ben Starr plays kiss, marry, kill with Final Fantasy characters, and decides to off Cid from Final Fantasy 12.
Ew VO actors and their cringe core. Fiverr voice actors could out perform this chump.
Final Fantasy 7 has come back under the spotlight thanks to the release of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, but is it worth replaying the original?
Very much so. Graphically it's dated but the story and the gameplay haven't aged a day. It's still one of my all time favourite RPGs and for me is better than Remake in some ways.
Not the order I would have all of them, but I do definitely agree with #1, so a good list just for that.
I'm actually shocked that Chaos didn't make this list, out of nostalgia alone, if nothing else.
Oh my word the typos.
Anyone think that FFXV will have a boss worthy of being on this list?
I woulda put Twintania from FFXIV:ARR on there too. At least as an honorable mention.
