From the article, "It isn't uncommon for one or two big titles to be released on the same day or within a few days of each other, (Example: Grand Theft Auto IV and Mario Kart Wii.) but more often than not, publishers will avoid this and scatter dates so their games will get the attention they deserve. Apparently the Japanese DS game publishers wanted to cause a free-for-all June 26, 2008, because five highly anticipated games are being released at once. Six, if you're excited about Simple DS Series Vol. 39 The Shouboutai (Fire Fighters).
So let's go over Bleach: The 3rd Phantom, Bokura no Telebi Game Kentei, Daigasso! Band Brothers DX, Jigsaw World and Disgaea DS, the five major titles being released in Japan."
Today on COG Considers, we talk about cute demons doing hilariously evil things. Seriously, why do we love evil protagonists so much?
Disgaea main characters evil? Uh...Dood, the power of love and teaching compassion is pretty much the staple of this series. These aren't evil Diablo demons. This is a series that constantly pushes coexist with creatures from all realms living the life they were born into to the best of their ability. Any "evil" from the cast is purely slapstick and nothing more.
Except for Midboss, that guy is evil. Laharl was just a 1313 year old kid with Mommy issues.
A Disgaea Hour of Darkness Remake will launch in Spring 2018.
This is my favorite out of the series. Hopefully they add something extra to the remake.
Michibiku's Jenni Lada writes, "Disgaea is an established and respected series. The JRPG has set trends with its story and mechanics. After all, it’s one of the many founders of the whole “overlord antihero” stereotype. Its insane level caps and encouraging of massive damage outputs have made it an icon. It’s no wonder that the original game, Disgaea: Hour of Darkness, is on its fourth port."
Disgaea DS is a big game....
can't wait to get it...in September
