Hope this time earth defence force gets good gfx

Eldyraen3560d ago

It might look like a decent PS3 game this time around, if we're lucky.

DCfan3560d ago

EDF was never about graphics. You can't get good graphics and details with that much stuff on screen at once.

oasdada3560d ago

Thats cuz it was low budget

DCfan3560d ago

Even if you have a Gran Turismo budget, you can't have that much enemies flying on the screen at once without grinding the CPU to a halt. EDF 2025 is sometimes a frikkin slideshow because there is an uncountable enemes on the screen at once and the CPU is doing its best to keep up.

oasdada3560d ago

There are techniques for that.. have you seen HM absolution? It had countless numbers of npcs on screen with decent gfx

DCfan3560d ago

Did it have around 700 ants on the screen at once without the game breaking up?
I don't think so.

oasdada3560d ago (Edited 3560d ago )

Yea but their face alone had better polygons than few hundreds of those ants.. im figuring you dont know much about gfx just kindergarten stuff

Really hope both the EDF titles get localised. The last PSP port of EDF2 sadly didn't.

O'm not holding my breath for Onechanbara Z2 to get localized.

Satisfying visual feedback, so many games have lost this principle and it's sad. Almost everything you do has an interesting and Satisfying reaction, making everything physics based is the key to that, watching everything fly, crumble, and react to your weapons, and slowly increasing you weapons capabilities to do so to an absurd degree, just keeps ramping up the satisfaction of how good it feels to play this game.

Nitrowolf2526d ago

Games are great, they may not be the greatest visually, but man do they really push the hardware they’re on cpu wise

I'm a big fan of how you can blow buildings apart with no consequence. :D

Samurai Maiden Review: Kiss Kiss Hack Hack | SVG

Despite some clunkiness in its controls and camera, along with a surface-level narrative, "Samurai Maiden" knows exactly what it is and what it's trying to do.
