That company is Nuke Nine and since late 2013, they have been working full time on Vagante - an action adventure platform dungeon crawler game with perma-death and co-op playability featuring various classes and abilities to choose from. Pick a class (such as Mage or Rogue) and fight various monsters in procedurally generated levels, acquiring magical abilities and equipment along the way."

Vagante Review — (The Gamers Lounge)

While it is nice to see a roguelike expand the feel of progression a bit more, it’s frustrating to put time and effort into that character to see them die easily. Vagante tries to do it’s best to bridge the gap and make levelling and progression fun while also maintaining the heart of a roguelike.

It looks nice enough, if a little like you are viewing things through the wrong end of a pair of binoculars, and the setup is interesting. But the numb combat, instant death traps and lack of anything resembling tactics - even in the boss fights - marks it down."
